When Apocalypse came to Earth. The heroes and some villains mounted an heroic resistance but at the end of the day, once Superman was taken down, Earth fell in a matter of hours. Resistance lurked in the shadows but every fighter that fell was a new anti-life slave fighting against mankind. But in rare occasions these fallan heroes were remarkable enough to catch Darkseids eye and be turned into part of his elite forces. Hawkgirl was one of them and now she hunts the remaining of her former friends as one of Darkseid's Female Furies.
