It's definitely silly, but what I find different about this character (which was also the case with Cynthia from Lost Family in the early series) is that her face expresses kindness.
This is what gives the contrast between her personality and what she gives off. This gives a "thickness" to the whole thing.

Agree. Lost Family is truly a pure zoo series, it's the exoticism of its partners and the exteriors that make it the most popular series. And it's true that the breaks with other partners, the manipulation of old Johnson who doesn't hesitate to sell his daughter to enrich himself, Darla's double dealing... all this contributes to creating a rich context.

There's a lot of publishing out there for a very wide audience, and personally I'd rather PK, Crazydad3d and their teams took their time than a botched job done in a hurry.

Exactly my friend. You understand my point. Take Forbidden Desire for example. If Crazydad/Tedd decides to develop the storyline properly without rushing things, then there is enough story materials for at least 20 more episodes with ease.
