[Manaworld] Tribute to Fenris found on Kemono (I`d underline everything about unique Style and Humor mentioned here):
"Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to talk about someone many of you might have known, or at least known
of, friend to the site and awesome artist
Fenris.
Fenris and I first met online a couple years ago after he posted some Manaworld fan art. When I contacted him telling him how much I liked his stuff he was over the moon. He then told me that Manaworld and Syx was what had inspired him to start his own webcomics! Well, it honestly meant more to me than I could say.
We got to chatting, and I remember telling him that his style reminded me a lot of my old college roommate. When I mentioned my roommateās name, Fenris freaked.
It turns out he actually knew him! Apparently, the two of them used to have a friendly rivalry on the old Penciljack forums back in the day. And would compete in various drawing and inking competitions. Weād chat about all kinds of things. Old anime, art, storytelling, comics and movies and the weirdness of real life and the internet and it was easy to lose a few hours texting between working on pages and sending each other previews of pages.
Fenris and I were around the same age, and even though we never met in person, I came to think of him as a friend. His sudden passing really hit me and got me thinking about my own mortality and was just difficult to get into the swing of things. Iāve been debating for a while about whether to post this as people might take it the wrong way, but I decided it felt right to share something of his here.
I always told him how much I loved his Claire comics. Along with the beautiful art and storytelling in each page, they really captured his humor and heart. So in his memory, Iāve put together a collection of them here. I hope that by sharing his work, in some small way, he can continue to live on in Manaworld and in the memories of those who enjoyed his art.
Thanks for reading, and for keeping the community spirit alive. Fenris would have loved that."
