You don't usually think of internet cartoon porn as representing a staple of culture, but I've been enjoying Jab's stuff pretty much since the beginning. Like 25 years. And for most of that he was the gold standard. But I guess all good things come to an end.
I won't say the art has suffered, but its definitely changed. Women used to be voluptuous and unique. Now ever single woman is thin-hipped with big fake-looking breasts. And that's if they don't look like they're fucking five years old.
But yes, story continuity has always been his weak point. There's a certifiable psychological element to the storytelling aspect of what he does, and this just squanders it. I've seen him forget what was happening in between sequential pages of the same comic. Shit's nuts.

Yeah, I guess there are more exceptions than I thought. Many tend to fluctuate from panel to panel. Housework was one of my favorites of his for that exact reason.
That and Dat Ass, but Dat Ass was my main point. For a comic called Dat Ass, her ass was shapely, but it was far from huge, especially compared to the emphasis he put on her huge breasts.
And this panel from MHAN always struck me as disproportionate.

That was good, but, as you said, too brief and one sided.
Maybe if Jab hadn't wasted so much time adding so many unnecessary subplots, making filler issues, we could have gotten to the part where not only does Richard have sex with Julia, but Claire has sex with her too.

Would've liked to see that instead of all the sex scenes with random men.

Claire's friend making a move on Julia could've been interesting too.

I mean, I can believe that he doesn't actually care about social norms (also, he has to put that warning legally, that's why. Otherwise he could get arrested & put in jail for making what is essentially animated CP).

As for continuity & character consistency...he's the author. I don't expect him to remember absolutely everything, but he has the pages to check in case he doesn't. I don't buy that continuity & consistency don't matter when he has access to the earlier chapters even if his memory's shit.

Which part don't you buy? That he doesn't care or that it doesn't matter? We might care but he's demonstrated plenty of times he doesn't care all that much about consistency. Continuity just takes attention to detail and a bit of effort; effort he's repeatedly shown he can't be bothered with otherwise he'd do what you suggest and look back at some of his own comics. Leaving the socks off Eileen's feet in one panel of AP 17 and then putting them back on again in a later panel might trigger my OCD but it's no big deal. But when he just ignores one of the fundamental plot points of a whole series, say ignoring the fact that Angus and Sharona are supposed to never have had sex then no one is going to convince me he gives a fuck. Jab's more interested in seeing himself as some sort of cultural philosopher guru who others come to for pearls of wisdom about movies, animation and culture. Have you ever read some of that shit he comes out with about 'the future of all movies' or 'don't be afraid of AI'? Stay in your lane Jab, talk about stuff you have some understanding of and make sure Eileen's socks are on in all the panels you dingbat!
