Thanks for the books, guys. I tried converting them to epub to use them on my Kobo, but the end result was not great. PDF's are tricky that way, it seems. I went ahead and got the books on Amazon and thought I'd share them here.

Sometimes that's the way it goes. When one has a particularly bad conversions, sometimes you need to manually fix it. But if you don't have the time/patience to do it then yeah getting the official ones is probably the way to go.

The first line of every paragraph was split into a separate paragraph. It was readable, but annoying none the less. I'm not good with regular expressions or getting the pdf conversion settings in Calibre just right, so it would have taken me a whole day to fix it manually.

Mhmmm.. You could have messaged me, or i have a thread for broken epubs, and i would have fixed it. Actually there's a couple others who may have picked it up before i did and offered the same thing.

Thankfully you're not dealing with 'every single damn horizontal line is a paragraph' or letters of duplicate l's s's and others being removed...

I've noticed in conversions, that if the end of a line has a space, it's usually the end of a paragraph, and if it doesn't have the space, it's a continuation of the paragraph. Seems like a small thing, but it's an identifier that i see more often than not.

Thanks, I appreciate the tip. This actually did a better job than Calibre. Way less paragraphs were split in the conversion.
