[Julien Blacke] Velvet Bloodline – A Cinematic Erotic VN (Original Story)

Velvet Bloodline – Scene 3: First Glance (sneak peak)
  • 3D
  • New preview from Velvet Bloodline – Scene 3: First Glance
Lucas just unlocked a whole new achievement in smooth talk:
Accidental yoga-sniff + perfume critique + full mental breakdown.
(Yes, she noticed. Yes, it gets worse.)

    Next week’s episode tease:
Eva’s flirting game goes from “playful” to “dangerous.”
Lucas can’t hide how much he’s falling... and Sophie is no longer just a bystander.

🎭 The triangle tightens. And so does the tension.

You really need to invest in Comic Life...

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve seen tools like Comic Life, and while they’re great for classic comic formats, I’m actually aiming for something a bit different with Velvet Bloodline—more grounded, immersive, and story-driven.

The focus here isn’t punchlines or panel gimmicks—it’s narrative. Slow-burn tension, emotional buildup, and realism. I know it’s not the usual “everyone bangs everyone after 10 renders” kind of story, so yeah… maybe that’s why success is slow 😅 But that’s okay. I’m not selling just images—I’m selling a journey.

Being new to actual creation, I’m still finding my voice and defining my style—like many others in this space. That’s why I genuinely appreciate every bit of feedback and critique (at least the constructive ones 😄). It’s how I improve and give back stronger, more refined content.

That said, I’ll seriously consider tools like this if I find they fit the style I’m developing—or the next project I’ve already started sketching out on paper. Could be a good match later down the line.

    Appreciate you dropping by!

It's all the (inner monologue) and (whispering) things that are distracting.

With Comic Life or SnagIt Editor, you just use a different type of balloon for speech, thinking, whispering, shouting, etc... I am not talking about creating panels

Ugh... please stop the plugging, ok, we get it, you don't like the style...
Actually, I find it refreshing to see a style deviating from the pack.

    Summer Vacation
  • 3D
  • Hey everyone – just a quick heads-up!

You may have noticed things were a bit quieter this week — that’s because I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to finish Scene 3 of Velvet Bloodline. Why the rush?

I’ll be taking a much-needed summer break with my family from August 9th to 25th, so I won’t be posting during that time.

BUT — before I vanish into sunscreen, sand, and awkward family dinners…

👉 Next week, I’m dropping all of Scene 3 in advance on Patreon— nearly 50 renders packed with tension, heat, and mystery. New characters. Shifting relationships. Eva’s secrets? Not so secret anymore...

👉 And also next week, just for you here on APC — all of Scene 2. No paywall. Just the full chapter for the community that’s kept me going 💥

If you’ve been following the story, now’s the time to catch up — things are about to get twisted in all the right ways.

See you all after the break — full of bug bites and even more ideas.

Thanks again for the follow-up! I really appreciate the clarification — I now see what you meant regarding Comic Life or SnagIt Editor for varied balloon styles, not layout or paneling. That’s a great point, and you’re absolutely right that formatting can help visually cue readers without needing (parentheses) or descriptors like inner monologue or whispering.

But as I mentioned earlier, I’m still in the process of defining my own style — and that includes developing my own speech bubble format. There are a lot of tools out there right now, and many creators are already using these tools and even AI to streamline their workflow. Some use it sparingly, others extensively... but to me, when everything becomes too “perfect,” the creative spark risks getting lost. Mistakes, texture, and uniqueness are part of storytelling too.

What I often see lately is a kind of visual copy-paste loop: same render style, same camera angles, same lighting, same speech bubbles, same comic-book format. And while that works for many (and I respect that), I’m personally aiming for something a bit more grounded, messy, and narrative-driven.

That’s why I really value feedback like yours. It helps me refine without losing the vision.

A while ago, I mentioned that the first person to support Velvet Bloodline would get their own custom side character in the story.

I realize now that I was a bit vague about which platform I meant—Ko-fi or Patreon—and that’s on me 😅

The first supporter at the time was on Ko-fi, and they’ve already been confirmed as the official winner. Their custom character will appear in a future chapter.

BUT—to be fair to the point, and to repay my mistake for being vague, I’ve decided to open a second side character slot for my first real Patreon supporter as well.

I always pay my debts. (As the Lannisters do 😏)

So both early supporters will be getting custom characters! One in the first book, the other one in the second.

If you want in on future events like this (polls, character naming, special access), check out the Patreon page and stay close... this is just the beginning. 🖤

I see potential, slow and deep Story's are rare,so when I donate to you I can create a character with you for your comics ?
Thank you so much—I really appreciate that you see the potential in a slow-burn, story-driven project like Velvet Bloodline. That kind of support means a lot.

Regarding creating a character: I recently offered that reward as a one-time bonus for my first ever supporter, which ended up being someone from Ko-fi. I’ve since clarified things in a new post, because I had been a bit vague initially (my bad 😅).

BUT! I do plan to open up more opportunities like this in the future—whether it’s through polls, contests, or special tier rewards for supporters who stick around.

So definitely stay close. This universe is growing, and I’d love to bring more community-created elements into it as we go 🖤

Thanks again for your interest and for being here!

Quick Poll Before Vacation – Where Do You Support Creators?
  • 3D
  • Hey everyone,

Before I head off for my long-awaited vacation (starting August 9th 😎), I wanted to throw out a quick and simple poll.

I'm testing the waters a bit to see which platforms people actually use or prefer when supporting NSFW / visual novel creators like me.

    So here’s the question:
Which platform do you prefer to support creators on?

You can vote just by dropping a comment with your answer below. No pressure—this helps me understand where to focus more in the future, now that the project is growing and the cult... I mean community... is forming 🖤

    Your options:

    • Patreon
    • SubscribeStar
    • Ko-fi
    • Fanbox (Pixiv)
    • I don’t support directly, just browse
    • Other (let me know in a comment)

Thanks in advance—and thank you again for all the support on Velvet Bloodline so far. Scene 2 and Scene 3 are now fully released, and more is coming once I'm back.

    Hey everyone,

Happy to be back after a much-needed vacation. Now, let’s return to our story.

In Subscene 3.5 we’ll meet a new character: Margot, Eva’s grandmother. Her name may sound a little unusual, but that’s because it carries symbolic importance. In this interlude, we’ll start scratching at the surface of the mystery…

Meanwhile, the bond between Sophie and Eva keeps growing stronger, setting the stage for what’s to come.

Tomorrow I’ll be releasing the first renders of Scene 3.5 (After School – Interlude) on both Ko-fi ( https://ko-fi.com/julienblacke ) and Patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/JulienBlacke ).

    Stay tuned—things are just beginning.

PS: Also the full release of Scene 3 is now available on Ko-fi for those who want to dive right in.

Hey everyone, I was testing out a movie theater asset and… well, things escalated into a little side scene with Sophie and Lucas. Let’s just say Lucas wasn’t ready for Sophie’s choice of movie tonight — definitely not what he had in mind. 😅

Sometimes these experiments turn into fun little extras, and this one felt too good not to share.
This short scene isn’t part of the main storyline, just a playful side-piece while I was experimenting with a theater environment.

👉 The full text variant of this mini-scene will be available Friday on Patreon and Ko-fi.
For now, enjoy this sneak peek still!

    Hey everyone,

Starting with the next scene, I’ll begin making some minor visual changes to improve how text blends with the renders.

    I’ve already started with:

    • ✦ Decreased line spacing → to make text more compact and reduce the space it takes.
    • ✦ Slight font size reduction (narration -2pt) → to give characters more visibility.

Next, I’ll experiment with fonts, speech bubbles, maybe colors, and more always with the goal of keeping the story readable while giving characters the space they deserve.

For me, the text carries significant weight — sometimes even more than the visuals — because the story itself is the foundation. But without the characters shining beside the words, the impact fades. They must work in harmony, in a symbiotic way, for the narrative to truly stand out.

I’d like your feedback on the work so far, regardless of your perspective. I take every critique seriously (the constructive ones 😉) and I analyze all recommendations carefully. For example, Professor Sinister once gave me great tips about trying Comic Life or SnagIt Editor to improve bubble styling (and more). His suggestions are on my list, and if they don’t make it into the current story, I’ll definitely apply them — in part or fully — in future projects.

That being said, I’m looking forward to hearing your point of view. Every bit of feedback helps me grow, and I really appreciate your time.

    Cheers,
    Julien Blacke

    Hey everyone,
I’d like to throw a question to you all, both as fans and fellow creators.

As some of you know, I’ve been shaping Velvet Bloodline with a mix of drama, mystery, and erotic tension. And like many of you, I’ve supported other artists on Patreon/Ko-fi/Subscriberstar over the years. What I often noticed — and honestly, what sometimes made me unsubscribe — was when the balance was lost:

    • Same sex scene recycled over and over, stretched too long, losing its impact.
    • Or on the other side, a slow burn where each erotic scene feels earned, tied to the story and characters.

Personally, I lean toward the second approach. For me, it’s not about quantity, but quality and meaning. I want every sex scene to hit hard — emotionally, visually, and narratively.

So my question to you is:
👉 Do you prefer long, repetitive erotic scenes that maximize raw content?
👉 Or shorter, more impactful sex scenes that serve the story and feel unforgettable?

I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Because at the end of the day, this is a shared experience — and knowing what the community values most helps me (and maybe other artists too) keep that connection alive instead of falling into auto-pilot.

    Looking forward to your input.

    — Julien Blacke

PS: Your answers won’t affect the storyline — I won’t abandon my vision. But I value your perspective and want to see how the community feels about this balance.
