A bit off topic but might have some interest in this section. Recently, I managed to contact Gary Roberts and knew a bit more of the man behind the myth.

The guy is my new hero. I just wrote an article in my blog about the interview I gave him as well as other stuff.

I think some people here might find it interesting.

I discovered Gary Roberts about 20 years ago when I was a young teenager. As a comic book fan, I immediately loved his style, and even after all this time, he remains one of my all-time favorite artists.

I hope he manages to publish many more comics despite his age!

I was talking with him today. The guy has a lot of news comming. He told me about being developing the Yakuza Slavegirls 2 and a lot of other stuff. He didn't quit business, he just very upset with the decrease of sales, and other things about Dofantasy which I tink shouldnt be posted here.

He also gave me more info for the post, wich will be updated soon. Some inside info about why he went down.

The rest of the time we were discussing politics and stuff and how US Government is acting against pornography trough credit card companies and all that shit lol

Yes piracy has a great role in it. He claims to have more than 1K paying subscribers in his channel back in the day and now just a handful. The CNC stuff has also decreased more for governmental and credit card companies preassure, than for changins in public taste, but he also claims to be signaled by US Government as a "domestic terrorist". He didnt tell me all the details, but he left USA and now is living in Czech Republic. I think a lot of stuff had happened to him there, that he didnt tell me in particular.

He says he cant use paypal and couldnt create Patreon account.

But he is planning to return, maybe with his own website outside dofantasy. He is finishing Yakuza Slavegirs 2 among others.

That is why people come here to download them

If the price is, say, 5 euros, nobody is going to download them here and they buy them at Fansadox
and yes the price is low but the sales are going up very sharply

Price is high yes but that in combination with inconsistent updates i think doesnt help.

his early days of his site in 2004 he was consistent giving anywhere from 6 updates a month and then sometimes would have months where everyday or other day was producing something. By about 2012 that decreased and starting to be more around 3 a month and even down into 1 a month. paying the monthly fee but maybe getting a page update plus pirating for sure added to the decrease.

He has a lot of promising comics not finished or released that i hope he finds the passion again or the platform to be able to release those more consistently.

Ok, I've updated my blog post with more info Gary Roberts gave me in the meantime, he didn't like some things I've written earlier, so I toned down a bit.

Also, now you can register in my site and comment the albuns, blogs, games, etc. The premium version is not avaliable still. Non premium users can make 5 comments per day. I'll reward with 1 year premium version, every user who brings rare content for the site. i'm talking about old/rare stuff not found anywhere online.

I think there are also some issues with their website or payment processing.
I've tried to buy comics via legitimate ways multiple times and I could never get the payment through.

Yes, I completely agree! I can only speak for myself, but for me, a price of 20 Euros or more for a comic is too high. If they cost between 5 and 10 Euros, I would definitely have bought many more than I have till now!....and I'm sure many others feel the same way!

Nowadays a bunch of creators offer their entire library for a sub fee of like 10$ a month on Patreon or Substar, the prices on Dofantasy are way too high.

At this point in time I doubt they don't know the existence of my site. But they don't seem to be doing anything about it.

Fansadox also has been shooting themselves in the foot for years now. They can promote their work on social media all they want but it doesn't make it any easier for people overseas to purchase comics.

I totally agree, I have wanted to buy about 7 - 8 of the most recent comics and it won't let me, they have a terrible system.

What I have to do every time I want to purchase a comic I have to call my bank and request they open my credit card to over seas purchases for 24hours. It's a hassle that takes 30+ mins every time.

Oh my god, their system is sooo confusing. I live in LATAM and I had the worst time trying to buy from them… I was honestly about to give up.

So funny story, I was a little tipsy one night and decided to try again (bad idea, I know lol). I put in my credit card but messed up the CVV by accident… and then it sent me to a second page to verify everything. That’s when I used the digital CVV from my bank app and somehow it actually worked??

I have no idea why that works, it makes zero sense, but that’s literally the only way I managed to finally buy from them. Their system is such a mess… but hey, at least I got my comics in the end.
