Although The Days at Florville and The Gardens of the Night are officially listed as Anonymous, there is no doubt in my mind that they are actually Richard Manton. See for yourselves.
Thank you, very much for that pointer. And in return, I’ll share something I learned recently. Most or all of the characters in his stories are based on models for Janus, Kane, et alia. For example, Lesley Hollingsworth is based on Lynn Paula Russell.
Sir MB, I did NOT know about the Janus models. I do know, however, that Thomas recycled characters from his Sergeant Verity novels. If you'll check out the Grove Press page on that link above, you'll find that Cara Jolly and Elaine Cox appear in Sergeant Verity Presents His Compliments written in 1977.
