These, I would guess, were paperbacks. Several appear to have been published by Delta. I scanned and made epubs of a couple of Alison North Delta titles. That publisher never released them in digital format, so I suspect that might be the case with these as well, if so, your prospects are slim. Buying physical books might be your only option.

I have a hypothesis: a couple of later Alison North titles were released as epubs, so I wonder whether the authors starting to use word processors instead of typewriters is the deciding factor as to whether publishers in the late 20th C released books in digital form after releasing the physical versions.

I know I scanned and released quite a few NEXUS titles before the publisher got around to releasing their digital versions. In those instances I think they might have scanned their own works as well, otherwise they could have released digital versions a lot quicker if the authors had used word processors rather than typewriters.

yes, you are correct, these books are available in print editions only.
