Why Does Red Text get inverted to a light shade.

This occurs with, or without other colours if the Red component is higher, in my examples I only used Red.
Why Does Red Text look like this? RGB=255, 0, 0 should be Bright Red, but RGB becomes 254, 153, 153 on posting (or toggling BBCode)
Why Does Red Text look like this? RGB=127, 0, 0 should be Darker Red, but RGB becomes 254, 153, 153 on posting (or toggling BBCode)
Why Does Red Text look like this? RGB=63, 0, 0 should be DARK Red, but RGB becomes 255, 191, 192 on posting (or toggling BBCode)
Why Does Red Text look like this? RGB=31, 0, 0 should be VERY DARK Red, but RGB becomes 255, 223, 224 on posting (or toggling BBCode)

When the R component is the largest number, even with pure Red (RGB = 255. 0, 0), I see the correct colour I chose for a brief moment then the forum does this brightness inversion conversion for no good reason at all.

8muses did this also, so something in the base forum code/settings seems to be causing this.
I was using green & red to signify availability in my post of over a 1,000 of a 1,200+ eBook publisher catalogue, it looks awful & harder to pick out from white text after posting.

I tested with various accounts and it seems to be working fine for me. Can you try again? You can also try the hex color codes and see if they work correctly.
