It's very hard to know where your criticism or discomfort about Lana's comment comes from. Because you seem to be upset that Alex is being denigrated, which doesn't make sense, since chapter 3 Daniel has said worse things about his father, like he's an idiot, a cuckold, etc. You also say that Lana's evolution is rushed for saying that, when in previous chapters Lana already had those thoughts, she just didn't express them openly. I don't understand why you have this strange need to say that ID is boring or that it won't be long before it becomes boring, just because in one chapter there is a lot of action, when it had already happened before in chapter 7, where it was also mostly sex, and in chapter 8, where there was more dialogue and you also complained because nothing interesting happened. It's sad that most of the criticisms of ID don't bring a really constructive point of view, but something more empty.
