Is that your argument? Yeah, basically that's one of the things that the Oedipus complex does. Anyway, if you want to look at it another way, it's normal in a porn comic for things to happen, uh, you know porn. Or all the previous times where it's left explicit or implied that Daniel is in love with Lana.

All I know is that if we go back to the first issue, Daniel and Lana's relationship was really bad, he started to "love" her when he saw her half-naked for the first time, the story evolved into a more love-centric one, that development is there and that's why the first kiss was such a huge milestone, but to me this is still at its core, a story of lust, obsession and even possession, especially in latest sex scenes where Daniel express his intention of becoming her "master"
