thank you. no worries. calibre can convert most pdf's to (my preferred) epub, provided they are not book scans= images

I tend to stick to epub only versions when possible as:
a) formatting and scaling when reading on tablets (duh)
b) converting properly to other formats
c) getting the better cover when adding in calibre

You actually helped remove all my PDFs from this author, I never realized calibre conversion was that good though, gonna give it a spin.

I have also noted that epub's are typically the smallest file size of books. But before you recycle the previous version of a converted book double check because sometimes pdf's aren't text and an epub conversion will be to fuzzy to read easily.

Very true, I was doing it anyways because sometimes the epub version can be a remastered (and hence different) version of the book
This has become so routine with the new trend of using AI generated covers and re-releasing books, I kinda feel I am collecting covers

If you have the Adobe plugin for Word, that can result in some good OCR conversions which can then be converted to epub via Calibre. My copy of Ann Michelle's "Anything for an A", and "Anything for a Suit" were done that way.
