[Melissa N.] Collection

i never said that i wanted to change your mind, i don't waste time trying to make people change their minds, i wanted only to show you another way of interpretation of Marina character
for me Marina is also a victim of Nikos plan, but you make it sound like she knew about it from the start (that's what i don't understand)

ps: the negative emoji that i gave you is only a sign to show that i don't agree with what you said, it isn't a personal attack like you imply
ps2: if i don't answer right away, doesn't me you were right or that i was wrong, the same goes the other way around
Okay, Marina is a victim. She was tricked, but she prevailed in her mistake, helping the villain and accepting his noms. And Andrew can't do anything because when he wasn't drugged, he was asleep. So in this case, Marina is no longer a victim because she collaborated with the villain or villains. Now she wants to play the heroine and say she's doing it for him. In order for her to be who she says she is, she will have to be on his level, lower herself and ask for forgiveness, which is impossible for her because, in her point of view, Andrew is beneath her.

Lol
No one will convince you otherwise, you just hate Marina probably from the start of the story

I just think it's funny all the hatred you have for a fictional character

What is the reason we read books? Many readers like to get into the story, be part of it. But lately, authors only want to pay attention to the comics, forgetting about the story. And speaking of stories of this genre, authors only want to favor feminizing characters. Who knows, one day some author will have a little understanding and write a story where the character who was feminized leaves the feminizer's domain and takes control. That's what I hope for. And talking about hating the character Marina isn't hate, it's because you can see that she's to blame for Andrew being transformed into a woman. Many say she's a victim; she's not. Although she's not one of the villains, she ended up becoming one.

I do not have much to say about Marina's intentions because things are still ambiguous.

However, implying that the author is shallow or favors feminized characters with no agency feels a bit uncomfortable. I think each artist has their own way of telling stories and biases regarding how they want the story to unfold. If you want characters with more agency and freedom, I think Emory's comics lean into that. NewBee's Heads Up also features a rebellious protagonist, so I would not box the whole genre into that kind of caricature.

I would also like to ask which character has sole responsibility for Andrew living as Elena. Is it Marina alone? Elena is not really living in her shadow anymore. If you want to blame Nikos, he is not controlling Elena either.

Yes, Andrew now lives freely, as you said, but it's not his life. After everything he's been through, his personality now seems to blend with the one created for Elena. He's at a point where he doesn't know if he's Andrew or Elena. And with that, Marina is gone from his life, because now she's simply his niece. Not because Andrew wanted it, but because they forced her, including Marina, destroying what was left of her self-esteem. Marina was never a victim; she was deceived and accepted everything offered, even the mutilation of her own husband, completely destroying any chance of Andrew being with her again. In my opinion, you want to know who's to blame for Andrew living as a woman. Andrew is to blame for agreeing to dress as a woman. It's Andrew's fault. But Marina herself talked about making him more feminine. She must have been influenced by her cousins. But she's to blame for him undergoing all the surgical procedures that transformed him into a woman. She says he cheated on her. but she herself confessed that she cheated on him when she was in Crete, and it was at that time that she met the inspector, in fact she threw herself at him, it was probably not the first time, we still have Nikos, but if it weren't for Marina, Elena wouldn't exist, so yes, Marina is to blame for Andrew living as a woman, if you think I'm wrong, show me your version where Marina is innocent.

Okay, I sense that you feel strongly about this since you brought it back to this even after I said,

Let's break it down.
In my opinion, you want to know who's to blame for Andrew living as a woman. Andrew is to blame for agreeing to dress as a woman. It's Andrew's fault.
You agree that Andrew himself is partly responsible.
But Marina herself talked about making him more feminine. She must have been influenced by her cousins.
You also agree that Marina was being influenced by her cousins and a perceived threat to both her own and Andrew's life if Elena wasn't convincing enough.
But she's to blame for him undergoing all the surgical procedures that transformed him into a woman.
Because the doctor said so, right? We still don't know all we need to know to confirm that.

What do you have against Marina, though? Andrew is partly responsible; Nikos is also responsible because he covered expenses for the procedures. Apparently, Ava and Sofia told Nikos that the surgeries were reversible. Now the question is, who do we trust? Because Melissa framed the story in a way that we can't even trust Andrew with his memory loss. The whole premise of the idea that Marina is solely responsible demands that all others involved have their hands clean.

For me, Andrew, despite his culpable actions, is innocent. He wasn't to blame for the events that occurred, as he was drugged, asleep, or under the influence, and thus his life was forever changed, even by his own wife's actions. Unlike Marina, who was conscious, able to reflect on her actions and situations, and yet admitted mistakes, knowing the results, and that's why she later abandoned him. That's the problem. She, like the journalist she claims to be, left her husband to his own devices after learning of his situation. And how she revealed to the inspector that she's to blame for her husband's situation and abandoned him for his own good, to live her life. She herself revealed to the inspector that she discovered Andrew was being drugged and therefore abandoned him. In her conversation with the inspector, she revealed that she was able to disguise herself without the aid of surgery to appear different. It even seems like an act of provocation, as she didn't help her husband disguise himself. She preferred that he undergo the procedures knowing the results and that he would never be the same again. and despite the actions of his uncle and cousins, Nikos is one of the real culprits for Andrew being in this situation, he probably influenced his daughters like his niece, but Marina accepted knowing the results because she was the one who took Andrew to be mutilated, it was her act that turned Andrew into what he is now, so Marina is more to blame for Andrew living as a woman than her own uncle, so she will be guilty until proven innocent, which is difficult because not even the inspector believes her anymore.
