I mean, like, Chain Reaction has Julie and Alex, and they're written better(even then the comic barely focuses on them), plus he can take some notes and references from later Ben 10 shows, like Alien Force and Omniverse where Ben and Gwen become best friends.
Even in Ben 10 show they didn't constantly fight and you can often see how they've become actual friends.
It's just weird he keeps them stuck in the season 1 mindset where they're constantly at odds, like Ben was willing to risk exploding the omnitrix just to save Gwen in the original show.
Plus it's just strange how he refuses to treat Ben as an actual character despite him being a protagonist and all.


There's also other non-H stuff that coves similiar subjects which I think shows how you can do both contrasting personalities that work, and have somewhat light( or at least saccharine tone).

100% agree on the Alex/Julie thing, I know some people dislike Incog's wall of texts but i'd rather have things take a slow start than some generic hentai where the characters are fucking after two or three pages. It was nice to see how things were developed and all, but back to Ben and Gwen - it is weird how he keeps them in their S1 relationship when SS starts at like the end of S3 and all.
And like, I get Ben being sidelined in favor of Gwen (although I don't agree with it) since she is the main appeal of SS, but things aren't the same if you don't have him to oppose Gwen, it's their chemistry that carried the whole thing, it's why there was a big shipping community when the OG show was airing despite them being cousins.

Overall I dislike Sultry Summer more and more, the only reason I checked weekly/bi-weekly is to see when will it end so Incog will move onto Chain Reaction. Sultry Summer lost it's charm mainly since when they were together it was way better. I do get how they can't really just do that for 400+ pages, but personally I would've skipped at the very least the futa parts and the alien sex. If alien sex needed to be a thing, Ben should've just changed, having a character to change instead of him, made it pointless. I liked how Gwen discovered she is bisexual to be honest, but her character lost personality by that point to care for that I feel.

Regardless, there were some good panels in this chapter too, for example the table scenes, hopefully the last chapter + epilogue will be better and bring back what we loved about it. Chains Reaction is much better, cause it has dynamics, they care about each other, there's love, feelings.

What I like to see this time around with Chain Reaction is to have Alex and Jack have their way with Katie at the same time, and maybe incorporate powers into their sex. (There was a tease at Jack turning to cloud at the final page of the recent part)

My humble criticisms:

-The comic started with a strong focus on anal with the whole thing about Gwen being abnormally sensitive to it, but after their first time in the tent, anal became almost an extra, and we didn't get another scene focused on it even though those are some of Incog's best.

-Forget about Ben and Gwen's relationship, they don't even try any new sexual stuff with each other after doing vaginal for the first time (not even rimming even though we know adult Gwen is into it so young Gwen should try it eventually, page 157).

-Everything is super tame. Most comics of this length would have the characters doing crazy things at this point, but it took Gwen this long to take a bigger dick (and then going back to a smaller one, felt pointless).
One moment I found really funny was when Ben asked Lucy to get rid of her dick before doing anal as if some ball slapping would make him gay when Lucy's dick is literally modeled after his (Page 373). This is probably fine for those who don't like futa but it felt like a waste to me.

-The dirty talk is really tame too, I don't know why Incong refuses to have his characters, even the adult ones, say "ass" or "asshole", let alone "fuck".

-Finally, and this is a really subjective one, I know Incog doesn't draw yaoi and most people are not into it but some bi action for Ben (like fucking Andy who's younger or Cooper who's kinda androgynous) would haven been pretty fresh. He feels 0% freaky compared to Gwen who seems inclined to fuck almost everthing. Something curious I've noticed it's that for someone who only puts straight guys in his comics, Incog has no problem showing a male character's asshole, most artist would cover it with a speech bubble or something but he just draws Ben's shitter pointing at camera like in page 161 lmao.

I know there's one more scene left but I don't think it'll make a difference at this point.

Since we're all criticizing Sultry Summer...

- I dislike the fact that there was no solo Ben and Gwen scenes. Their scenes on the first chapter (which was the longest mind you, with 171 pages) were just miles better than any threesome, even the blowjob in the latest chapter was good.

- Way too many random threesomes which led to long chapters that took one year or so to end. They weren't that bad, but still...

- Lack of any devolvement/bond between Ben and Gwen's relationship even though Sultry Summer has longer chapters/more pages to get to action than any other comic Incog has made. The first chapter is the only one to have it, and to me, is the best - compare it with Chain Reaction with Alex and Julie, or Bawdy Falls with Dipper, Wendy, Pacifica and Mabel.

- Long chapters but they all feel boring at some times. SS chapters are the longest compared to his other comics, Incog takes a while to have the first sex scene with lots of dialogues but they aren't well written at all. SS would have benefited with short chapters.

I still remember being excited when Incog first posted the pages on /pco/ and then he moved to Patreon and then his own site, but after some time... I just checked SS out of habit I guess. Unfortunately, Sultry Summer got worse and worse.
I do hope the last chapter and epilogue are just focused on Ben and Gwen instead of another threesome.

Hell yes, either that or at least do something like what I thought might be leading into that with Lucy when she transformed into Max and caught Gwen half naked... would have been a nice way to Segway into having a MaxXGwen scene without it actually being Max.

Kinda like how we basically got a Ben Kissing Gwen scene because Lucy transformed into Ben and kissed Gwen, just sucks that Gwen immediately had that repulsive reaction.

Would have been nice to see her into it, and then later on when she randomly tried to kiss the real Ben, then HE'S the one who pushes back, and then they have a back and forth and Gwen runs off embarrassed and sad, and Ben has to go apologize and then afterward kisses her and their relationship would have progressed further.

Also would have been cool to see young Gwen interact more with Adult Gwen... we got the reverse with Adult Gwen eating out Young Gwen, but we didn't really get young Gwen eating out Adult Gwen, or fingering eachother or Young Gwen and Ben sucking Adult Gwens boobs together and then taking turns making out with her... etc...

A lot of lost potential in this comic.

Technically Incog did one image as one of his monthly work, for those who want that, but I don't think he will incorporate it into Sultry Summer. Best case scenario is Lucy transforming into Max to fuck her, but I think the last two chapters will ditch the Lucy content but who knows.

I agree, i sure would like to see more selfcest between adult Gwen and her younger self, i think that part was the best part of the whole comic, and i hope we'll see more of that in the next chapter.
And i honestly would have liked seeing Ben and Gwen kiss, if not a loving kiss, and lust fueled kiss as they do it.
As for Max doing Gwen?
I don't know, i know some people are against it, but honestly i wouldn't mind having him catch Ben and Gwen for real and then joining in.
Or at least, as you said, having Lucy transform into Max and fuck Gwen that way (with Gwen being conflicted between pleasure and awkwardness )
