read Trading Up... The story was good but not a lot happened.
This author is a great writer but could use an editor and a few read-throughs to force the author to reduce the word count. It was almost 170,000 words and felt like that story could have fit a much smaller word count.

Yes I read that story. I too felt it was unnecessary long. Repetitive at times. Too much word play. I've read two stories by that author and both have had the same issues you mentioned.

Thanks for confirming. I'll be reluctant to read their longer works then. The story was overall enjoyable at times, but many of the characters were obtuse or needlessly stubborn. The reasoning behind the cheaters' actions were never adequately explained either.
Read Trading Up... at first it seemed like a better version of the men's revenge fantasy in Loving Wives on Literotica (hundreds of them). They mostly all suffer from the same problem since the wife has to be incredibly dense and unable to understand for the stories to work. But yeah as the story went along it just wasn't compelling and got more and more repetitive. If you're going to read a non-sex, non-angst men's Harlequin Romance, I think Literotica is a better bet.
Thanks for the info on the other stories. Not going to bother based on your review.
