Yeah, I had gotten the Kelly2020 version as well. That whole bit at the beginning with the broken faucet stuck in my mind so when I read the preview stuff on Amazon for Leah's story, I knew it sounded familiar.

I never noticed that when you launched the story from the Kelly2020 page, the author is listed as Greattalk not Kelly2020. Not sure if that's just another penname/account for the same person, or what.

I link these authors together not only because they all plagiarized other work, but based on the similarity of the cover art, and how it all shifted, at the same time for those pen names still active, to a different common graphic format.

I don't think she's prolific, not if she takes stories others written by others, uses AI to reword them then sells them on amazon. To me, she's selling framed photos of the mona lisa that she took while visiting the louvre.

OK, here's an updated PDF with the stories I've been able to find the original for.

The story Caught really annoyed me for a bit. I was pretty sure that it was taken from a Karen Kay story, but I couldn't find it.

Turns out it was posted at Karen's Korner, so presumably that's where I had seen it at some point in time

We need a database of all the plagiarizers and the original works they plagiarized from with links. Actual creators need to get their dues.

I read the book as well as the OG story. The plagiarizer has used an AI tool to clean up the grammar and the language. They have made the language more flowery to fluff up the word count, but the underlying structure hasn't been changed, modified, or "bettered". This in not "fan-fiction". it is plagiarism with the help of AI. The original author of the works wasn't credited.

I ran parts of the book through AI detector and it comes upto 80-90% generated by AI on various detector sites. Shame!
