Honestly, Marina is an enigma in the story, but in my opinion, it seems like she was just using him. She said she loved him, but she never showed genuine affection for him throughout the entire story.
Marina didn't despised him, she loved him but he messed up too many times, so she got tired of itEva and Sofia, knowing about his past and his situation, still embraced him and stayed by his side. Marina, however, was the complete opposite; even before knowing what had happened to Andrew and his uncle, she already despised him.
but she didn't want things to go this far
Elena gave an explanation about feeling right with Nikos as "her" Husband and having Eva & Sofia as "her" Daughters, Andrew's life was a mess and among all the things that pushed him into becoming a middle-aged greek woman, to find a Man that actually love "Elena" for real and 2 Sisters caring for him like he was their real Mother was the best thing that happenedyes she goes off to crete without him and kind of leaves him to fend for himself. No wonder as Elena he seems to feel that both daughters appreciate him more than Marina ever did. His sacrifice seems to be some thing both girls like for some strange reason. They seem to accept that they are not nikos's daughters and that Nikos's wife is a trans woman.
