I suppose she's creating an atmosphere conducive to her future infidelity, giving Rose reasons to act wildly and without remorse when she finally lets loose.
This storyline seems to be going to be a long one; there's still another colleague who will surely be seduced, and Rose's daughters will probably become part of the plot—or at least that's what I would do if I were Mynkx.
