[NovelChef] Comics

It's already near the end of April and only one chapter was released. At this point, maybe Novelchef should turn his content into a monthly release. 1 chapter each for March and April is pretty diabolical.
At least expect 1 chapter a weak it became month which is sad it feels like she is spending time more on thinking what next with out any future plans of story like cc and office politics she can give proper ending and go for fresh story instead dragging the story so long with out proper end in mind
Of any one offereded sorry

Always false advertising. Posting schedules for 4 chapter releases on a month and ended up to 1 chapter release. Releasing half chapters to make it look like several releases. April is already ending and no updates until now. Better to use your money for subscription to other things.

Another moonly huh?.

That seems to be a wonderful business idea to emulate. Churn out quality stuff for 2 years.

Then stop suddenly. There will be plenty of suckers who will never cancel the subs.

Some of you almost sound happy about the idea he may have quit, the level of seeming disdain you guys have is crazy to me and the level of entitlement. You guys act as if we're owed this stuff??? I'm sorry but unless you're actually paying you have ZERO right to complain about deadlines missed or stories going stale etc. Most of us are very lucky there's a couple people willing to share with the rest of us at any given time.

I don't know about you guys but I love his stories a lot, have a few dragged on longer than i'd like? Absolutely, from Novelchefs comments he feels the same but what good does coming here to complain over and over do? Keep in mind he's still a person too, he gets burnt out like everyone else, he has feelings and stresses like you and me. A little empathy or understanding can go a long way sometimes. Especially since NONE of us know what's going on in his personal life.

If you're an actual paying subscriber then let your criticisms be known somewhere that may have an actual impact like his fansly, but again being respectful and providing actual CONTSTRUCTIVE criticism would go a long way and giving him some grace. And if you're truly unhappy, unsubscribe! No better way to voice your displeasure than that

I personally hope he's doing ok and hasn't quit and when he returns is refreshed and hopefully focuses on stories that he's interested in

I have subbed to him a lot. And got burnt recently when he only uploaded 1 part for the entirety of the month. Still have credits in uniform for 2 more subs. But it seems to be a waste seeing his speed.

I am agree with you ...let him breathe

I have subscribed and most of the time, only one chapter is received within the month. Most of the people including subscribers in fansly are angry because of posting schedules that are not followed. Imagine you're on a restaurant and ordered a meal because it's on the menu and they only given you a side dish. They require you to pay that in full and some parts of the dish will be given next month or the next next month. What do you think the customers will feel.

He already took a whole month vacation last March and is it not enough?

His problem is he doesn't want his current stories to end. That's why he wants to extend it as much as possible.

If you're ok with paying 7 dollars to minimal output, then you're part of the problem. You're tolerating him to do his bad habits. Feel free to subscribe while expecting nothing in return.

If this the case . Then , unsubscribe is the best way , and wait for the future, if anything good content uploaded by the author, then subscribe again. This way you can save the money, and the author will understand that, taking for guaranteed is not good either. It is a mutual exchange,

I get were you’re coming from but 99% of the hate he gets is self generated by lying to people, not meeting deadlines and not giving proper updates if he needs to breath then come out and say he needs a break and pause subs. It’s an easy thing to do but these artists don’t do that l. And that’s when the toxicity comes out because people don’t want to be taken advantage of. Too many artists in this genre do that and disappear without a word. Continue to charge money and just rob their supporters who pay for months.

So no I don’t have sympathy for these artists because they do it to themselves by not doing right by the people that pay them. Doing art for free is a hobby once you decide to become a subscribed artist this is no longer a hobby it’s now you’re profession and need to treat it like one and that’s not just for novel chef but for all the artists that take advantage of their subscribers

I think the main thing people are mad at him for is lying about deadlines. If he was honest about when he posted chapters most people wouldn't care tbh.

I agree that those who solely pirate and never pay shouldn't complain, especially about what the artist chooses to create, but I also can see how the deadline issue has caused this frustration and also how as an artist it occurs. When doing something for fun or as a hobby and giving it out for free I think Novelchef's mentality of setting yourself high expectations and doing what you can, can work quite well in terms of motivation and if you don't hit your deadlines so what, they were a high bar to start with. The problem seems to be this mentality has been kept whilst also having people pay to access the stuff, now the frustration of the subscribers makes a lot of sense because to them these aren't the "best case scenario" aspirations that NC seems to think they still are but instead it's "I paid 7 quid for this schedule of content and it's not being given".

I realise this might sound like pointless waffle but I'm trying to say that having followed NC for a while and subscribing for a month now and again I genuinely don't think he sees it as lying or cheating, but mentally holds the view that a chapter a month is ok and the deadlines he sets are fun motivators to maybe offer more. However, this isn't being sufficiently communicated and subscribers are paying for fluctuating amounts of content and feeling ripped off. I'm not even slightly annoyed or frustrated with NC myself because I get what it's like to have something you like to do part time become commodified and then realise you can't treat it like you used to, but I don't think people are wrong to be frustrated. My advice to NC would be to set himself these high aspirations but stop sharing them and only promise what he can deliver, and my advice to those frustrated is to always sub for a month AFTER the part you want is out and cancel the auto renew straight a way, if more is released for the month you technically bought then great but this way I see it as I'm paying for the previous months stuff. This way if a month is quiet, don't renew until more is available to read

He's trying to juggle 4 stories at once cos he was scared people would unsubscribe when the current ones finished. Ironically it just had the opposite effect and has ruined the schedule.

I assume OP will be released after the next halloween chapter

In general, the situation with feminization comics painfully reminds me of the webcomics I once loved.
- It all starts with small, interesting sketches with short plots. From that point on, you start following the author.
- Then story arcs appear that last several issues. This becomes the peak of creativity.
- But then these arcs get longer and longer. The plot begins to drag on and trickle out. Side plots appear, new characters are introduced, it all reaches a dead end, the author burns out, there's a hiatus, then a triumphant return, but you realize the plot has dragged on even longer and there's no end in sight.
- You stop following the author, unable to wait for years for this tedious grind. And then, a few years later, you remember that there was such-and-such a project, you check how it's doing—and the story ends up abandoned.

That's what happened to me with comics about the Gorgon, the daughter of the girl from the ring, goblins, something about Warhammer and a lot of other things.

On the other hand, such authors find themselves caught in an unenviable trap of two extremes:

- On the one hand, there's the risk of becoming bogged down in monotony and losing interest. Like JesscaTg, AndyLatex, IBenz009, and others, where the author places the same characters in roughly the same situations year after year. So you watch their work, and the setting seems to make sense, and you want more lore and development, but everything remains the same, until you lose interest.

- On the other hand, there's the risk of getting sucked into gigantic projects that you definitely can't handle alone. Like MelissaN or NovelChef. They get sucked into an endless plot, without understanding what to do with it or how to end it, ultimately ending up technically the same—more or less the same characters in more or less the same situations.

Due to a lack of experience and professionalism, finding this balance is practically impossible. And the next step apparently involves working as a team, dividing responsibilities, and creating the project. No matter how impressive the Patrion sums may seem, the fetish industry is still incapable of generating the same income as even web cartoons. That's why the entire project's weight rests on one person who's incapable of handling it.

stop to look for excuses.. everythis may be fixed fast and good - in one-two steps: finishing long storyes with "Good end" and "bad end" versions in two posts, and never again start new story without full the plot in your mind written until the end with planed amout of pictures you need to produce and number of publications you gointg to do.
The problem of artist-by-subscribtion - in trying to keep our money interest they do not want to finish the story, cause people coming again and and again for particular one.. Be honest to customers! Be proactive! If you not sure how to finish the story - dont start and anounce it! We dont need your coupons again and again.. we coming not for it. If you cannot continue - be honest to customers, post "SRS+Bride+Pregnant", close the shop and go rest
