I thought all Amazon published books since January 2025 were encrypted with a new scheme that broke Calibers abilities to de-DRM.

Yes and no. It has to be done outside of calibre. My method I use is about to very likely end in June/July anyways unfortunately. I created a VBS script to do it all before the input to Calibre. There is a similar generic batch script out there that is win 11 dependent. Look up Techy-Notes com. I am not going to make it any easier for Amazon to block it by saying more.

I tried to find it, but all I got was a Kobo DRM removal instructions. The best I found when searching generally, not just Techy-Notes is EPubor.
Would you be willing to share the link for the Amazon DRM removal instructions in a DM please?
