Overview

Hidden Island is a 2D extreme BDSM series of commissioned comic pages. Basically fanfic of the type of stuff good ol' Fernando used to put out.

Oh yes that comic is referenced in the title of this post. Hidden Island is basically fanfiction of Hideaway Island haha. I wish we had gotten to see more of Mr. Ivanov and Mrs. Kurnikova doing business deals and committing their crimes, with more recurring slaves and characters. It would have made a great 4-6 part series, like Confiscated Twins. If I had the time, energy and funds I'd comission Hidden Island to be a few hundred pages, but adult life doesn't allow...
 
I do believe the author is better off working on their own story rather than copying one that already exists. I'm also shocked on the amount of tracing I'm seeing.
 
I'm a are of the premise. I just don't see how lifting Fernando's work is a good way to get started. It's basically Alien Ant Farm all over again.
I think the artist is much better off drawing a line in the sand and writing then own stuff and not tracing the work if other artists along the way.
Show me they can do that and then I might care.

Lmao I'm really not sure why you are commenting on this thread without reading the title and description. I am not an artist and and am not trying to start any sort of career or big following. Never claimed this concept or the artwork to be my own. I commissioned this comic (and many other illustrations) for myself from the two artists mentioned in the post, but I wrote the script. Clearly much of the art and some of the story is lifted straight from Fernando, that is because it's Hideaway Island fanfiction, as mentioned. It is inspired by many other artists/photographers other than Fernando as well, with the art not taken from Fernando being more original. This is the story I wanted for myself. I posted here for those who enjoy it because the comic has a small following/interaction elsewhere that I post, especially on Deviantart. :)

And again, I see no tracing.
