I just wanted to say thank you. I'm really happy that so many of you are enjoying my comic, whether you're reading it through official access or not.

That said, there's something I want to be honest about.

I used to think piracy was just... part of the internet. It happens, whatever. But over time, I've realized that leaving it unchecked creates a lot more consequences than I ever expected.

So I'd like to ask for one simple favor.

If you have access to my comic, please don't share it with people who don't. Keep it for yourself, please.

This isn't really about money or anything, really. If you have access, I'd rather it stay between you and me. Not sharing it around is one way to respect the work and effort that goes into making these comics.

If this still continues, then after this comic is finished, it may be my last one. At that point I'll probably just disappear into the woods and draw comics that only my hard drive gets to read, haha.

The problem is that piracy for some authors in Patreon, is killing his/her work because there is a page which everybody knows that a subscriber can upload her work as soon as it is published. So she should migrate to subscribstar, and leave Patreon, or apply a security process like TroubleTro who relates his discord with Patreon or like Mr. Foxx who sends the material by DM.

I'm not naive enough to think everyone who DLs the comic here leaves a like unfortunately but there's probably what? 30-40 people max in this forum for this comic?

I don't know if svs gets regular updates, i'd imagine that's a fairly popular site tho if it does. Pawchive only recently came about and I don't think Hanna's page gets updated all that often, if at all?

I think the amount that pirates is pretty low. And posting about it on your official pages only brings more attention and potentially loses you subscribers who discover there are ways to get it free lol

Hanna is 1 of the very few authors I actually subscribe to on Patreon. I support her because she puts out quality work on a regular basis. Would hate to see her go.

she/he know this page and other pages. she herself posted many here i guess. may be a gap between her releases and here or any platforms as per her wish might help her stay calm(I can't say happy). I can't bare the subscription . else I would have subscribed to all those people I love to see and read works..
I too am trying to post my works for some funds to get a new machine and grow more as an artist.. so I am also doing wrong with these highly skilled storytellers

I think let not upload as soon as it released. Wait for a few days like 3-4 days. So the author can have a peace of mind then release here , it would be best if 7 days after upload here . Think about it , or it will be too late

If you make good content you will get tons of subs no matter when and where your stuff is released on piracy sites. Look at all of the big tg authors that have blown up. They just make good content and don't stress about these sites just focusing on making good stories(or at least they started out making good stories and many of them have slid though they keep their subs).

It's so stupid for the authors to care about piracy at all. Waste of time and thought for them. Just put in effort and make something good and it won't make a difference. If they think it's killing their revenue that are just making up excuses because they aren't doing as well as they wish they were.

There are so many examples of this over the years.

Edit: Btw idc when the person that is choosing to share shares. If they want to wait fine. If they don't want to wait fine. I am just tired of people preaching about this all the damn time in every thread because they think it's what is right. People can make their own choices and if the author can't grow up and throws tantrums about it they aren't going to last anyway because that's not the core issue their sub performance is and they are throwing all the blame on this one thing as a scapegoat.

Not wait a few days. piracy at all = threat of stopping because they are trying to make money from it now unlike when they pirated. If they think they can do something remotely popular online and end piracy with a threat then good luck to them nobody else has been able to do it out of the millions or billions of things created and shared with trillions of dollars involved so far. I completely understand Hanna’s frustration, but I think she’s drawing the wrong conclusion.


Every Patreon creator has to deal with their content being shared in ways they would rather avoid. In fact, the creators whose work is shared the most are usually the ones who are the most successful and earn the most money. It’s simply an unfortunate consequence of becoming popular online.


Hanna is probably in that middle ground where she isn’t making a full-time living from her work yet, so it’s easy to look at those 50 or 100 shared views and imagine they would all become paying subscribers. But that’s a misleading assumption. The vast majority of those people would never have paid for a subscription in the first place, even if those shared copies didn’t exist. They’re not one-to-one lost customers.


Speaking from my own experience, she should also see forums like this as a form of promotion rather than just a place where her content is shared in ways creators may not like. I’ve discovered several creators through content shared by the community and ended up becoming a paying subscriber to artists I would never have found otherwise. Community sharing often works as free advertising, helping creators reach audiences they might never have reached on their own. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has done this.


The answer isn’t to threaten to stop creating unless that kind of sharing disappears, because that’s simply not a battle anyone has ever won. The answer is to keep improving your work, listen to what your subscribers actually want, and build a loyal community over time. That’s the path followed by the creators who have built successful Patreons.


I also think Hanna should take an honest look at the content itself. In my opinion, she’s fallen into the habit of stretching stories with chapters where very little actually happens, and the overall quality of both the writing and the artwork has declined. I know she’s capable of much better because she’s already proven it. Some of her older comics are among the best TG comics I’ve ever read. On top of that, the gradual reduction of adult content has made the work feel much more toned down and, at times, almost overly childish compared to what originally attracted a significant part of her audience.


I’m not saying this to be harsh, but because I genuinely believe that improving the quality of the comics and restoring some of the original tone would do far more to grow her Patreon than trying to stop people from sharing her work.


Hanna is clearly talented, and I genuinely believe she can succeed. But threatening to quit over this kind of sharing is fighting a battle that no online creator has ever won. Focusing that energy on creating better comics and rebuilding the excitement that made people subscribe in the first place would be a much more productive approach.

From what she wrote, she knew that piracy couldn't be stopped, and she doesn't care about the money either. i think she intended to quit in the first place, whether the piracy continue or not. she wrote that just to mock us. Regardless, calling her stupid is very inappropriate since we're basically stealing her content.

I get the feeling Hanna is losing the passion and perhaps.. this is the first step towards bowing out. It seems obvious in the quality difference between now and her first works. I will not make overtly negative comments about Hanna's current works, these things are plain to see already.
I will say, that when I first started reading Trans comics Hanna was a big go-to for me. My tastes have changed but I will always thank Hanna for her early efforts, they were great.
In short; whatever you decide Hanna thanks, you were there when I badly needed you.

Hollywood isn't selling us anything physical, they're allowing you to license a film you don't get to own. That's why they're so keen to move away from physical copies. You only get to rent films (and games) in their ideal world.

As for Hanna, does anyone remember when she just started and she promised she would update Fated Disguise every three days with a couple of pictures? Her timeline shifted, but lately she's been very reliable in uploading a chapter every week. So I would commend her for that.
It is difficult to come up with new premises without doing the same story all over again. So maybe she's beaten up a bit and lashing out about piracy. I personally don't think it's fair, I think if it weren't for forums like this one her name wouldn't be out there for anyone to subscribe to her Patreon. I'm not sure if the, I don't know, 200 downloads on this forum would have all automatically translated to paying subscribers. In fact, I'm not sure she would have had her 286 paying Patreons without those downloads.

Hanna stuff is FINE but it unfortunately stagnated as mid. At the start there was growth in the stories for awhile but yea just never quiet got there which is why they never got the huge sub bump like melissa / liltkit / etc.

To me one of the biggest issues other then many of the main characters looking the same(which is pretty common) is that while the story is ok there is almost NO transformation time in her stories. Men will be men for instance there is none. Goes from being a guy to shaving and cross dressing one time looking completely like an end story full transformation. Where are the steps where is any process to it at all. It's just bam done looks like a fairly hot chick instantly and then only does very small changes from there through the end of the story on the look. In other good works by other authors they still look good at their first time but more of the dressing and transformation is shown and they still have flaws in the look early on that are worked on over the story.

I think this is one of the flaws of a Patreon-like system, in which creators have to publish material on a regular short-term basis. I think it's difficult to find creators who are both good at writing and story development and drawing/modeling/art/AI, so when you are trying to do both at the same time weekly or bi-weekly even, one are or both suffer.


I said the same thing in the MelissaN thread where the complaining is continuous, but I really prefer the old model when creators created a comic and then sold the whole & finished comic. It allowed the creator time to do what they needed and time to pause and think through their next project. If they wanted to kick out side images or teasers, they had that freedom. In that system, I am totally happy to and did buy a lot of comics because I know I (should) have a completed story.

But I also understand if creators get frustrated with piracy and sharing of their content. It's not easy to create good content.
