Oh, I was under the impression that there were many layers of "reality". At the end of Vision, there is the "Game World" where the wife is enjoying herself, then the "real" world where the husband is dead on the floor, then the "real-real" world where the husband is dead in the chair, then the "real-real-real" world where a guy is playing the latest interrogation game from Steam, then the "real-real-real-real" world where the alien is watching a simulation of the Earth.
