At this point I might just bite the bullet and buy a BotComics sub myself in order to grab all the missing issues (as long as someone lets me know how best to download them and remove any watermarks)

That would be very kind of you! They do have a 1 month membership option if you just want to update your collection.
As for the extraction, I imagine it would be alright if you print-screened the comics.

ok I looked in the console on a free comic issue (https://www.botcomics.com/comics/pmd-war/?streamer=1&chapter=1) and found what appears to be a link to the original PDF that the screener uses (https://bots3.cdnhq.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/enc069f00d743a07e4cd2768726b8706697.pdf).
It's password protected though but there must be some way to figure out the password going off the PDF screener that the site is using.
