My point was clear. You just didn't understand anything that was written. You sarcastically responded to the user above saying "for you it is so easy", the undertone of the comment was designed in a way to be snippy, and implies that the user would not do a better job had they started to create stories themselves. You then continue to talk about how professionals get their timing wrong all the time. The member you were replying to had already mentioned his dislike of having to wait. Professionals do not mess up on their timing. That is the whole point of being a professional. They do this for their job, and they do not mess up. Novelchef is not a professional, they are a hobbyist, so them not meeting deadlines is not in the same boat as the former.

Now your point is clear to me, but it doesn't make much more sense.

And forgive me, but I'll continue to be sarcastic about this:
It's probably the Mandela effect, but welcome to this version of reality. And in this version, I wrote: "Professionals get their timing wrong all the time... the episode plan regularly falls apart because the scenes in your mind end up looking completely different from what actually happens." I didn't just write "Timing" instead of "Deadline"; I also contextualized it, so even if you don't understand the term, you can figure it out.

But I'll also respond to your fantasies about deadlines:

You immediately admit that you have nothing whatsoever to do with work, creativity, or creative work. Missed deadlines are the be-all and end-all of creative work. Manga artists are constantly taking hiatus, reducing the frequency of their chapters, or churning out short filler installments. Writers take YEARS off to finish book series (hello, Martin). To ensure TV series don't slip and are released on schedule, studios employ teams of writers. Look up the episode list of your favorite series on Wikipedia and you'll find that every two episodes are written by different writers, and a single writer might only have two episodes per season.

Honestly, the entire field of memes that professionals create about themselves consists entirely of jokes about missed deadlines.

See the world as it really is, not as you'd like it to be. Then you'll experience less disappointment in life.

P.S. None of this absolves NovelChef of responsibility for the incorrectly chosen strategy, and for the fact that he is doing some incomprehensible nonsense with OP, which is why I am most likely about to completely drop this author.

The whole premise of this post you have made is under the assumption Novelchef is a professional doing this as for their career path. Novelchef does this in the free time on the side. It is much less likely a professional doing this will never mid a deadline as opposed to someone who does this as a hobby.

I actually do think early on with the patreon and sub services they mentioned they were doing all the sub things to do this full time.

Yea I'm pretty certain he made posts also as stuff got taken down about being worried people wouldn't follow him to the other services so he could stay full time with this. And then him being happy fansly was working out for that.

You are correct, NovelChef was aiming to do comic creation 100% full time. He even had goals written that were something like this

1. $200 a month - 1 chapter a month
2. $500 a month - 3 chapters a month

and so on. He ended up reaching his goal to do this full time, and switched to doing this full time. When he was midway through Office Politics he started slowing down and dragging the story out. A lot of people were asking him why he started slowing down etc, his response was one similar to many artist and said the majority of his followers are here for Office Politics once that finished he is woried most of his followers will leave then he will be in a sticky situation. Hence why he started doing more stories at once to try and get people interested in other stories. It used to be one main story with a filler on the side.

So not sure if he no longer does this full time but as far as I know back when he first got onto fansly when he got banned from the other services he said he met his goal and will do 5 chapters a month. Maybe that changed?

At this point, maybe OP won't end this year or even next year. He has done a combination of slow/monthly release + taking a break/vacation + 2 to 3 stories in between.

I also hate that some people also defends this behavior like we should understand his situation. Also mentioning we should unsubscribe if the output is little. How about the new subscribers that doesn't know his tactics. They are misinformed by the posted schedules. It's already a scam at this point.

He's doing it on purpose because he's earning on it. He knows that if OP is finished, he is also finished. Also he did a survey for the next story and he didn't even begin on conceptualizing for the new story because he's satisfied on just OP and nothing else.

A new subscriber is getting access to everything he ever made all at once, something that seems to be forgotten by people who only pirate is that just because you've seen it before without paying doesn't mean that you get nothing when you subscribe, you get the previous works plus whatever new comes out that month.
For the record, I genuinely strongly dislike subscription models for this stuff, kind of loathe them to be honest, because this difference in attitude forms between the author and subscriber of what you're paying for/how much/when you get it.
I defend his character because I see people jumping to conclusions that every artist who goes subscription based is intentionally scamming when they burn out or slow down, but I also recognised that this model doesn't work for most tg artists including NC because yes it is unprofessional to promise and then not deliver.
I wish it remained that an artist woukd release a work, it gets bought, and then shared after a while for mostly documentation or discussion. Instead now it's all subscriptions which are always less value for money imo, too expensive to subscribe to everyone and now I'm pirating stuff too.
And then here we are, complaining about how greedy and money hungry a guy we do not know is, when we're going to pirate the work anyway and get mad that someone who's main income is one story is scared to end it.
He's being unprofessional, but the audacity to complain on a piracy site with these assumptions is annoying.
