Because Patreon generates enough income, I guess. And if you have to create four comic pages for your Stevensons telenovela, one or two short story chapters plus a bunch of additional illustrations every week for your Patreon subscribers - there's no time left to create traditional comics.

A while back, I asked on pixiv: more freedom, Fun (now a full-time artist) and more money
Here are excerpts from the response:

Just to let you know that this is the style and tempo I'm currently set on. I also try to finish smaller projects on the side, but they take much longer.
