Because Patreon generates enough income, I guess. And if you have to create four comic pages for your Stevensons telenovela, one or two short story chapters plus a bunch of additional illustrations every week for your Patreon subscribers - there's no time left to create traditional comics.

A while back, I asked on pixiv: more freedom, Fun (now a full-time artist) and more money
Here are excerpts from the response:

Are any of Erenisch's old comics (Birthday Gift, Sluts in Training, etc.) available in jpg/png (like the ungoing Stevenson) and higher ress than the pdf? If you want just a single image from one of the pdf pages the resolution is very poor.

I don't think higher res exist for "early" fansadox comics. The image resolution itself once extracted from the pdfs is limited to 827 x 1169px (or even worst for the very early comics). I guess it was a Fansadox standard.
The text in the pdf is also separated from the actual images. It's vectors, so it scales which is great for the readability of the pdfs, but it means if you want to retain it, you need to actually convert the pdfs into images with text. I tried to upscale some of the comics with AI, but it ended up being too much of a pain for me, my converter was screwing up the text, and I ended up wanting to fix more and more of the AI fuckups with Gimp, which was way too time consuming.
And I've got most versions of Maggy's Pinup. They are .Webp lossy conversion of the original .jpgs (at 90% quality, same resolution as the originals. It's still very good quality):
