Honestly, I don't know, but we all know that Annie, instead of solving problems, is the one who creates them. She did it in school to avoid being discovered, and she's doing it now too, not letting Daniel move on with his life and choose his own path. It's funny how Annie broke up with her boyfriend Jonathan; her double standards know no bounds.

Thanks ganzer. I read Epilogue 2/2 after my query and true to form, AndreaTG addressed this big question in the final installment. I once thought there were a great many moving parts in this story that AndreaTG could roll into a variety of new story lines but I am not so sure any more. After its all said and done, Annie ends up (i) being rid of school bullies Kelly and Mike, (ii) concluding loose ends at work when Jane gave herself and Luca (now Lucy) up to Jacob in exchange for Annie and by reconciling on good terms with Jimmy, (iii) finding her voice to stand up and walk away for good from Jane, and (iv) embarking on a future with Sara and Daniel where they are truly happier with her as a daughter and sister than as a husband and father. I am sure we will see some connection with characters from Man of House making cameo appearances in subsequent works by AndreaTG and that should be fun to notice when it happens.
