The only news I have for you is that I reread B-Man and The Quarantine after a long while. It's such a shame that a talented comic artist like Barros takes such long hiatuses. Man, the stories are just so good and exciting—they feel so different from Melissa's work and that of other creators. The plot and structure stand out, along with the dialogue, the transformations, and the character designs. Everything is crafted so perfectly.
The funny thing is that most of the stories don't even feature graphic nudity or explicit sexual illustrations. Instead, they constantly reveal the "nakedness" of the main character's mind—we see everything: their thoughts, their behavior, their speech, and how they descend deeper into the abyss of their new identity.
There's also this clever layer of deception that only we, the readers, are aware of—like most side characters not knowing that the main character is actually not female. Then there's the hypnosis and mental manipulation being applied to both the protagonist and the supporting characters.
And I never used to even like hypnosis and mental manipulation in my stories, but Barros just has subtly and delicate balance where it's going in neither direction which keeps the main character dumb...but not too dumb lol.
Still, it's a real pity that so many of the stories remain unfinished and will probably never get a proper ending. Oh man, there's just no creator quite like BarrosBR. I really wish there were more like him.
