I've only recently found this author and I find her Shadowlands novels to be superb. I have enjoyed the 6 I've read so far immensely and the lowest rated one I still gave 4 stars.

I haven't gotten to this series yet because my Buddy Reader and I are hitting the Masters of Shadowlands series solidly.
We are enjoying the depth Cherise makes for her characters and are discussing how most other writers write their submissives as, almost as, less integral characters. How their dommes whether male or female are above the submissives who serve them.
Cherise's submissives seem to be more humanized, and involved in living, than what we've read for the most part.

We are looking for recommendations to other writers whose D/s relationship includes - I guess for want of a better word 'Romance' - but it still needs to be erotica.

These are a spin-off from one of the later Shadowlands books I discovered. I'm adding them to my reading queue from this author. I'm up to Shadowlands 14 so far and still loving all the stories - still mostly maledom.
