In my opinion this story has an MC (I thought) that has been absent for the majority of the story. That is not really workable for me, I think even with Peter (whom I really dislike) a better progression of the story would have been David finding out what Peter did and then going on an all-out mission of revenge against him. That route would allow for deeper plots, expanded locations and a more coherent storyline for me.
