Is it appropriate to make a long dialogue when the situation doesn't justify it? I always find funny to see in comic dialogues, when people are facing a critical situation requiring a quick reaction, they take all their time to reflect deep down on the situation (like Aron who is overthinking). In real life, when you're confronted with such a situation, you panic and can't even think straight because you have only a few seconds to react.

Maybe. Keep in mind if something is per-meditated they may have already thought about it and the consequences involved and how different tree paths may go for actions and reactions.
Probably the big difference between humans and animals is how many steps they are able to think ahead. Short true story, had a cat we'd gotten from the shelter, and she wanted outside obviously, and if you watched her you could see her thinking of it and planning. Then when my GF opened the door the cat ran outside and did a 'YES I DID IT!... Now what?' before swiftly being picked up and brought back inside.
Animals (and probably kids) tend to think only a step or two ahead, to get to the destination but not what lays beyond it, which results often in... consequences, rather than mitigating or avoiding them. Instinct is probably the only real override as some animals want to hide food for later, though they don't fully understand why except they don't want to share.

Also depending on the person some people aren't able to have an inner dialog/monologue and think things through, much like some people can't touch their nose when their eyes are closed, or move eyebrows independently. When caught in an embarrassing situation usually it's a string of emotions i feel which can be translated to a dialog or sentences but instinctively you either want to hide what you were doing or bolt for the door.
But stories are less interesting if the dialog is 'Oh crap! Panic! umm umm... why is she home so soon?' or just 'oh crap' as his reaction. And some people can think really quickly, but when you are panic'd that doesn't mean the thinking can move gears to getting appropriate responses or actions to get you out of said situations.
Since fiction is... well fiction, as long as it matches the situation and isn't too terribly long then it can be fine. I just don't expect 30 pages of a philosophical intellectual debate to come from something so short, unless the other person is willing to wait the time it takes to make those 30 pages, to which they may be tapping their shoe on the ground like Sonic.
