I liked the voice and the pacing seems fine and it's free! Also I don't expect different voices that's nitpicking but like I said the other audio books were fine so I think it was just some background notifications or something on the host machine that caused the pauses in this instance but I enjoy Deborah Ford so everything else is ok I thought the sexy woman voice was just right šŸ‘ so I reckon it was just bad luck this attempt had glitches so I look forward to hearing more if you haven't been put off yet

Not to nitpick about nitpicking :-) what I meant is the tone and inflection of the voice is the same regardless of who speaks. I listen to audiobooks all the time with a single speaker. They deliver the lines with different pitch, emotion, volume or sometimes even accents. This had none of that and it takes me out of the story.

You definitely know more than I do as I rarely listen to audio books (too cheap to pay for themšŸ¤£) and she did say it was trial to get some opinions so I definitely wasn't having a go at you for expressing your opinion I was just trying to encourage her to keep going as I am impressed she was able to do it and I hope she won't stop because of 1 that was a little glitchy. Hardly anyone shares audio books on here so I genuinely don't mind the single voice if it means getting audio books for free but even you have to admit that AI has a sexy voice even if there's no emphasis or alternate voices for dialogue šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I would love it if there was more sharing of audio books on the forum though unless it's hard to record or copy the files although I am no expert so maybe you know as someone who does listen to audio books if there's some DRM protecting them from being recorded or copied? I just think it's strange we haven't seen more shared?

I wrote a script to do the same thing for epubs, stripping formatting and unneeded blocks, and do each paragraph separately. Compresses to about 200Mb per book.

Unfortunately it's not consistent person output, which you can get around or not. If i find a way to make it consistent i'd be more for it.

Takes about half a day per book to convert. Doesn't cost anything other than a little time.
