ABOUT LAST V9 POST: The synopsis is very interesting, I can't wait to watch it. Apparently, Yumiko is going to spy on Rant's artifact. If I had to bet, I'd say something bad is going to happen in that scene. I keep wondering why his artifact was abandoned there.

The Ai was just a small distraction for my mind recently. CVXtreme is correct that I don't want our group to become a "dumping ground" for this kind of nonsense ... my apologies and thanks for indulging me a little. :whistle:
Ai is an interesting tool, however frustrating and inconsistent. I'll always prefer animation created by human minds and hands. There is a stark difference between the two. :sneaky:

V9 is a solid Episode. I'm afraid my hunches about Rant might unfortunately prove to be correct. As far as Yumiko is concerned ... "curiosity killed the cat" ... but ONLY in a sexual way. Considering Rant's length and circumference, even the most professionally trained porn-star would be challenged !! Vision V10 ...

That's good news ... however:
Keep in mind that "post production" (e.g: sound, voice acting, finishing touch-ups and the like) takes time and shouldn't be rushed. Add into the mix, Nini is still working on Vision and the finale' of Five Color Rangers ... let's just say she has a full load going on. I seriously don't think she'll have time to do post production until after 5CR is completed.
Then we can start salivating in earnest ... I mean, the poor woman does have a life. :oops:

What is up with the slow burn on the Vision series? It has been nothing but teasing for the past months. It is to the point where I dont even remember why the MC isnt in the world and has a computer screen giving him info.

13 needs to pick up the pace, this isnt their usual style.
 
If you don't like the "tease" element in the story, there's not a whole lot I could say to give you comfort. Vision is one of Nini's longer stories, and she was quite up front about the "tease" factor lasting at least eight episodes. Some members in the group quite like the slow-burn ... others, not so much. We were warned at the very beginning, so at least we know she has this story all planned out in advance.
Being that she announced Vision V9 will be the apparent end of the teasing ... you can look forward to some hardcore one-on-one sex in Vision V10.
In her other longer opus, Business Trip, Ikoku and Bob didn't even have penetration on the menu until Episode 9.1 !!
As far as you NOT remembering what the story origins were, maybe you could review the previous episodes, which are available in our Library? Possibly, one minute or less videos may be more up your alley? Most adult animators don't even bother with a story, let alone a set-up. Nini's stories are more like manga, which she still reads to this day.

She has been working with longer episodes, adopting a format that feels closer to a TV series (or soap opera) than to a film. In that context, it would even be possible to release everything at once, as some creators do, but that would likely result in long stretches without new content for the audience (pdeadbeat and jackerman can attest to that, among others).

It’s true that, at times, certain scenes may feel longer than necessary. Still, those segments can serve as creative pauses, allowing her to reorganize ideas and better define the direction of the plot—apparently she has a lot on her mind lately (many series to work on). Afterwards, fans will certainly make a shorter version. Some of the earlier episodes could be significantly condensed.

I'm eventually planning to do a Vision compilation video ... but not knowing exactly how much longer the series goes, I'm reticent to do so at his point. I don't want to end up repeating my editing nightmare, ala Billiards ... what a mess that was to edit. Nini used to do single chapter stories, but lately, not so much.
Very rarely does any manga go just one chapter, unless it's purely a "fan-service" story. Let's not forget to mention some anime titles ( One Piece comes to mind! ). I suppose that's why we look forward to each subsequent episode. What will the "new & improved" Rant do next? THAT, is the lingering question?
