Get calibre it's a great program for organizing your library. You can update the metadata, and convert just about any format to any other format. The only limitation is that it can't be DRM protected.

In additions with plugins you can do a bunch of other stuff.

FanFicFare allows you to download stories directly to your calibre library from sites such as literotica.

EPubMerge does just what the title suggests, merges multiple epub files nto a single volume. Handy if you want to make a single epub for a series. If you want to convert a series to word, use this first, since when calibre converts an epub to word, it creates styles for formatting such as italicized, bold, etc. If you convert epubs independently and then combine in word, they may not have the same format for the same style names.
