I found the mule to be a good read but I couldn't help feeling sorry for Ethan as his ex fiance exacted her revenge on him. I thought that the constant reminders of his situation were a bit over done and it was hard to see if Ethan became used to his new life. He simply endured each new process and procedure thinking he was saving the life of Amy when in fact he wasn't was ironic. About the only thing he didnt endure was the final operation.
