Food Hacks.
Here's some hacks to keep food fresher for longer.
Mushrooms: when you get them home, take them out of the package and put them in a paper bag. I use the old style paper bags used for lunch for kids back in the day. This lets them breath and keeps them from turning to mush in under a week.
Scallions/Green Onions: If you have room in your fridge, put them in a glass with water, root side down. basically just like how you do with flowers. If you don't have space, soak a paper towel and squeeze out most of the water. open it up and wrap it around the bundle of scallions and put them back in the plastic bag you got them in from the store.
