I can understand this quite well. And from the listed example, it does look like a good middleground where it doesn't look like a PS2 game, but it doesn't have the anorexic look either. I think the background stands out more from sharpening, but that's a moot point, as with porn you don't care about what the drapes in the window look like.

Experimenting with upscalers (free ones so far) each have their strengths and weaknesses. However upscaling an image with multiple scalers and blending the results sometimes yields a better upscaled result. (Then again as tools improve, such tricks may be less useful/needed).

Anyways, looks like this will be interesting to read when i get the time for it. Looking forward to seeing what you make!

Thanks for your comment. Another practical aspect to making these comments is producing things relatively quickly with a good work flow. I could go full-realistic-HD, but that would slow me down a lot more. I am always trying to get the right balance between quality and output.

Here are few pages, below, of my new comic I hope to drop in one go in March. It is about a guy, Archer, that broke up with a girl, Piper, over his jealousy issues. He then resolves them by embracing her slutty desires, so he derives a kink about fucking her directly after she is gangbanged. Piper is a Brat after all - a gangbang is her kink! There is a bit more to it than that, but I don't want to give too much away just now.

You will see I am doing this comic in a different style, where the images are bigger and generally better quality, and there is more text to explain the story. It is a bit more in the style of a graphic novel. This just happens to suit the story better, I think, and allows more of a build up and erotic character development. There is no less sex, ultimately, I can assure you!

I think the classic comic style I have been using until now, with speech bubbles etc., is good for outrageous escapism, but I believe this graphic novel style suits a story that is a bit more plausible.
