[Incognitymous] Matchmaking Mishaps - Discusson Thread

So basically this is some sort of "Bawdy Falls" unofficial continuation?
(But without any brother-sister action)
Anyway, these credit card morons need to be dealt with asap.
This censorship crap is going too far.

Eh, to be honest, it's not like Incog even did anything interesting with Mabel and Dipper when he could have done them, their scenes were underwhelming.
His weird aversion to doing sentimentality in narrative comics always puzzles me, so it looks especially artificial in the case of twins.
Like, he complains about dwindling subscriptions and all, but for me the only reason I ceased being subbed to his patreon and then substar was lack of content I found interesting and worsening art quality, I would've stayed no matter what if i liked his panelling, or character matchups.

Why did you feel their scenes to be underwhelming, and how you would have done things differently?
Like, what was missing in your opinion, like lack of intensity, no kisses, or was it something else?
Just curious.

Well, it's what you said, lack of intimacy in the act of sex, which looks very weird and artificial when you have characters who are related.
It's bad for Dipper and Mabel due to them being twins and most of the show's emotional core is their relationship, it's weird in his Ben 10 stuff because Ben and Gwen become best friends, and it looks downright creepy in Power Pack matchups when you have Jack, it looks especially exploitative with Katie who's written as a toddler.
I mean, I get it, porn comic, etc, but Incog makes long-form stories with a lot of dialogue, so it just looks weird to me this aspect is absent, and instead you get long-winded explanations for setup on Wendy being an Onlyfans girl and Dipper saying he supports it, but he doesn't really bother with that for dipper and mabel.

I understand your point of view.
You seem to feel that the sex appears too "mechanical" at times.
Is that correct?
In Sultry Summer, I find it pretty dumb how Gwen willingly has sex with Ben and clearly loves it, yet the mere idea of kissing him repulses her. After everything they did together and how she drank his cum numerous times, it makes no sense that she draws the line there.
Chain Reaction definitely portrayed the sex between Alex and Julie better.

I guess mechanical is one of the ways to put, yeah, it feels very impersonal, which again, to me kind of undermines the whole incest angle in a narrative-heavy porn comic.
And yeah, Alex and Julie was done better, it was actually the part of the comic I liked, but it was also like 100 pages ago, and now it's exploitative stuff with Katie and threesomes, and Jack and Julie which falls back into the mechanical angle.
Like, this kind of dynamics I guess I can see fitting for if he did Rick and Mort comic, but well, he didn't, these characters are different and they're not as cynical/detached with each other.

I see your point, and in part i agree with it.
My biggest criticism is this:
Julie's initial actions with Alex were clear: she wanted to cheer him up and support him after seeing him heartbroken.
Yes, it also looked like they had feelings for each other.
Jack going after Katie like that (out of jealousy, and because he felt rejected by Julie and excluded from what she and Alex had between them.) also kinda made sense, but Julie's actions bothered me.
She clearly wasn't interested in doing anything sexual with Jack, acting condescendingly toward him.
Then, out of the blue, she said that if she had known Jack wanted to have sex, she would have been open to it.
This seems like a complete change of her character right in the middle of the comic.
I think Incog should have concentrated more on Jack trying to make Julie change her mind instead of just retconning her to be willing with him since the very beginning, when she was clearly not.
(or maybe, he could have solved it by implying that Julie lied to Jack about being willing because she regrets acting condescendingly with him/she felt bad for him or something more emotional driven like that)
I am sure that ultimately we all wanted to see the pairs swap at some point, and finally have all of them doing it together in a 4some, however, the way things escalated felt, as you said, "cynical and detached."

Those are valid points but an Alex x Katie and/or Jack x Julie anal scene would save the comic, 10/10

This is becoming my favorite of his comics. Aside from Wendy, the characters are so funny and likable. It has one of the best versions of Pacifica too.

i think there might be some substar fuckery going on, incog just posted the sketch for page 34 but it seems like uncletom can only post 33.

there's been some kind of weird post delay with substar where subscribers haven't been able to see posts made by the artist until a week later. if you were on incog's discord you'd be able to see for instance that at 2:18 am he posted the lines for page 34. unless you're not posting the colors for page 33 and the sketch/line for page 34 on purpose, it stands to reason you're not able to see it for some reason, likely substar fuckery.

oh, now that's weird. i just checked the thread and you've now posted the pages. i didn't even get a notification from allporncomix.

i think i had that happen. got a notification, went to see and there was only page 33 colored. Some time later page 34 was there without notification.
