This page was a pain to figure out. Not for drawing, as that ended up not being too difficult, but I had a variety of options for the scripting and it took a while to decide. It also does not help that I had a lot to do Monday, so I pretty much started the week a day late. Oh well, I'll get straight to lining this then having it colored for Friday as usual.

Another page that wasn't too difficult to draw, but had trouble deciding which route to go for how to do it. Yet again mostly started the week a day late, but I should still have this lined and colored on time.

Matchmaking Mishaps 29 Version 2 Lines​

Here are relined lines for page 29 of Matchmaking Mishaps. There was some criticism of the page, and ultimately I already felt a bit dissatisfied with the page myself once it was all done, so I decided to rework it. I initially wanted a bit more explanation about certain things, but I ended up feeling it wasn't necessary to explain in words at this time.

I'll still try to have this colored at the usual time, but I'll be getting started on the colors late due to the change, so I might slightly miss the deadline. I'll be sure not to miss it by too much, I'm just also not going to miss sleep over it.

However, I will be sleeping on it before I color. I'm still not fully decided on which pacing I prefer, so please feel free to let me know in the comments which version you prefer. I kept both source files, and the additions would be used in the next page in either case, so it's no real loss for me either way.

Matchmaking Mishaps 29​

Here are the colors for page 29 of Matchmaking Mishaps. Dipper and Pacifica become official, but Pacifica's enthusiasm just might make things hard again for Dipper.

So after sleeping on it, and getting some feedback while doing so, I decided to stick to the original. I made some small dialogue changes based on some things that I preferred in the other version, but besides that it's the same.

The things I was torn on was that I had two impressions in mind for Dipper. For one, he's very interested in a real relationship, so I was considering that he instantly become excited about the idea. The alternative was that it's so unexpected for him that he remains bashful but affirming, hence this page with him explaining his behavior. I did decide though to maintain Dipper's enthusiasm in his response, as well as Pacifica's added dialogue in the final frame.

I decided to just do both and get feedback, both here and on Discord, and more people preferred this option over the other. Since I was torn between the two myself, I'm just going based on that. It also isn't any real loss to me because most of what I added into the second version will be directly usable in the next page.

Here is the sketch, and partial lines, for page 30 of Matchmaking Mishaps. Pacifica's sudden embrace causes Dipper to lose a personal battle, but Pacifica offers to assist him with it.

As mentioned before, the new elements of the alternate version of the previous page were used in this one, hence two frames already lined. It was very helpful that I had partial completion this week in particular because I had something to attend to late Sunday and the entirety of Monday. Now I get to lining the rest of the page and should have the colors up at the usual time Friday.

I had an exceptionally late start this week due to having an exceptionally bad end to last week that set me back on things. It also did not help that my hand started hurting a bit, so I had to slow down progress on this to not push it. I'll get to lining this as soon as possible and still try to have the colors up at the usual time Friday.
