Sultry Summer 364 Sketch​

Here is the sketch for page 364 of Sultry Summer. The group is finally all prepared to start and Lucy starts Gwen off with a warmup.

This one again took a while. Just lots of figures to draw in a large number of frames. The floor should have tiles, but there would have been so much cleaning up for that that I'm just saving it for the colors where it will all easily be covered by foreground details.

Now I start lining this so I can start on the next page.

Who said Gwen was a size queen? Cuz it’s clear she has a preference and it ain’t Lucy’s hog

While it wouldn't necessarily be in keeping with Incog's style, with Lucy being able to change her body however she wants I suspect Ben might ask how big she can make her breasts. Maybe at least Gwendolyn's size, it would be a cheap and easy way to squeeze in some breast sex.

Personally I think Sultry Summer lost it's charm with Book 2, the previous chapter was better, while I don't necessarily hate, it's very rare for me to find appeal in the futa/tentacle trope, this marriage thing is also exaggerates the story. Chain Reaction is better with the experimenting, but despite that I still follow Sultry Summer every one or two weeks, and whoever likes this trope now can be happy that Incog draws this while even himself can't be really interested in these tropes, maybe he will experience with other tropes that are not particulary his cup of tea.

Honestly, I'm just missing content of Ben and Gwen on their own. It's not that the stuff with other characters is bad, but it would be nice to get a proper gap between one new character and the next.

Yeah the only threesome i liked in this comic was charmcaster, everyone else has been a huge miss so far, and the one chapter i still like is ironically the first one, it's lost me on the weirdness with Lucy, Kai's panels as well as older Gwen were weak and writing on some of these has also been really poor

I doubt we're getting any other character for the next part/epilogue, with the last page it seems like Ben and Gwen will enjoy the time they have left

Incog. Seid Ben and Gwen was't that type of copule. Since they have sex always in a threesome, (in the part we see: future gwen, charmcaster, kay e lucy x2) baybe this time have fun time togheter.

Honestly, in hindsight, this comic was more of a dissapointment than anything.
Not a fan of futa, so like half of it with being Lucy is striken out for me.
Choreography with Gwen and Ben is kinda repetitive, I only really liked first scene, but they don't have sex there.
Where they do have sex, is also muddied by presence of adult Gwen who detracted from it.
Charmcaster scene was good, while Kai was again lame because she went from Ben's freaky wife who is into aliens into whatever she had going with Gwen instead.
Also, really repetitive panels.
I think Incog refusing to make them actually bond just kinda detracted from it.

I don't agree with all your points, but your last one is definitely true. I think that might change a bit in the upcoming epilogue, but that won't really work as well as if it was a gradual change over the course of the whole comic. It'll feel more like an abrupt 180 at the end because he realised too late that he should have made them actually like each other earlier.

Yeah, a lot of it felt like it suffered from kinda poor writing/planning.
Like, it was fine up until the beach scene which did their first proper sex scene, but whatever interesting stuff it coulda had was very laregly offset by older gwen butting head constantly, as well as just off color characterization like her being a pedo.

Charmcaster scenes worked pretty well at least.
Kai could've been cool, since she's into Ben and his aliens, but for whatever reason Incog decided to give her an incest kink instead and she spends most of the scene talking with Gwen instead, it's just a really weird change. Incog could've leaned on her original and subsequent chraazterization and make Gwen jealous but instead he chooses to keep Ben being some kind of himbo who's more of a furtniture to the comic.
Lucy stuff didn't track for me one bit, futa stuff I hate, and she just kinda ping pongs with them in several unsatisfying scenes.
What's worse is that Lucy now has 2 scenes in whic she participates, both the woods and this, and both feel like some huge dead air.
The wedding episode could've been as a good Ben/Gwen scenario but instead you just have Lucy doing whatever was going on here.

I think that's also my problem with Sultry Summer, you could replace him with a dildo and the comic would be the same. I know Incog isn't really the type to do relationship and he likes pairings where the characters argue or don't have the same personality but alas, it makes things uninteresting.

I think Incog refusing to make them actually bond just kinda detracted from it.

Plus this, would be nice if they had at least one chapter or pages for themselves instead of random threesome. His random illustrations between the last CR and SS were more interesting than the main comic to me.

Yes! If the threesomes had at least developed their relationship further (like the chapter with Future Gwen did when they lost their virginity), I would have liked it, but it didn't at all and just felt boring in the end

I mean, like, Chain Reaction has Julie and Alex, and they're written better(even then the comic barely focuses on them), plus he can take some notes and references from later Ben 10 shows, like Alien Force and Omniverse where Ben and Gwen become best friends.
Even in Ben 10 show they didn't constantly fight and you can often see how they've become actual friends.
It's just weird he keeps them stuck in the season 1 mindset where they're constantly at odds, like Ben was willing to risk exploding the omnitrix just to save Gwen in the original show.
Plus it's just strange how he refuses to treat Ben as an actual character despite him being a protagonist and all.


There's also other non-H stuff that coves similiar subjects which I think shows how you can do both contrasting personalities that work, and have somewhat light( or at least saccharine tone).
