Gwen remains polite and helps Cooper get cleaned up.

This page should have been done way sooner, but it’s been storming a lot lately, and I had a sudden power flicker as I was coloring, which corrupted the entire file. Luckily the program keeps dated backups, but I did lose a lot of progress due to this.

Gwen finds out the truth behind the ticket, but for other reasons she’s willing to overlook it.

I know I’m exceptionally late on this this time around. I had an emergency to attend to which ate up a lot of time this weekend. I lost effectively all of Friday and a good portion of each day to follow, but I’m pretty much back on track until the later end of this week. I will have two smaller appointments to get someone to, but they shouldn’t be nearly as obtrusive as this weekend was.

Ben questions if Gwen got the ticket, but she’s in no mood to deal with him.

Despite the late time my day just started, and I’ll be getting straight to lining and coloring this. The lining will be a bit annoying because of how many smaller details there are, which is always more annoying to do on smaller figures.

The team meets up outside and Max explains the situation, but there’s yet another unexpected arrival.

Got yet another late start on this page, and it took an extra long while to do. The Rustbucket is always a pain to draw, and it always takes a bit to get used to drawing Max again. There’s also many small details, so this one will take quite a bit of time to line and color, but I’ll get it done as soon as I can.

Sultry Summer Page 405 Sketch​

Charmcaster catches up to the team to give them a warning about a potential threat.

To summarize briefly, Cooper appeared in a two-part episode where the team fought against the “Negative 10”, which was a team-up of their past villains. This group included Charmcaster, but given previous events she’s no longer a part of that group and is instead taking Gwen’s side.

It took a while to decide which route I wanted to go with this one. I at first had Max more apprehensive, but I decided to change things a bit to have him more welcoming. I imagine Gwen already talked to him about her situation with Charmcaster, with Ben affirming it, so I figured he would have been asked to be more open to her. There’s also plenty of room for him to be apprehensive in the next page.

Sultry Summer Page 407​

Max agrees to allow Ben and Gwen some private time with Charmcaster, but Charmcaster isn’t as open to guests so Cooper is left behind.
