Sultry Summer 377 Sketch​

Here is the sketch for page 377 of Sultry Summer. Ben gets a bit shy as all the attention makes Lucy more affectionate, but Gwen keeps him reeled in.

Definitely behind right now but I expected as much with things that were expected to happen this week, on top of starting an illustration this weekend rather than getting a head start on the weekly stuff. Regardless I'll get everything done as soon as possible, but I'll be coloring the previous lines before I start on lining this.

Here are the lines for page 377 of Sultry Summer. I went really slow on this throughout the weekend to give my hand some rest time. I still have the rest of the day left so now I just color this then I'll also get to coloring the Loud House illustration from last weekend and then I'll finally be all caught up.

Here is the sketch for page 378 of Sultry Summer. The group continues taking advantage of their remaining time together.

This one took forever to sketch. It took a lot of decision making on positions and locations, but I finally got it. Couldn't do too much with the water since Lucy can't really participate there, but I did with it what I could.

The difficulty of this page obviously has me set back a bit, but I'll try my best to have a second page done as soon as possible. First I line this then I'll start on that, although that will likely be interrupted by m

Here are the colors for page 378 of Sultry Summer. The group continues taking full advantage of their remaining time together.

I have page 379 started, but this page took a long time to color, just as it did to sketch and line. I also had an appointment to get to this morning, so that further set back the time I had to work on this. I do have the page roughed out, and slightly sketched, so it hopefully won't be too long before I have the sketch up so I can begin lining and coloring.

Here is the sketch for page 379 of Sultry Summer. Gwen invites Lucy to be herself and to start taking the initiative on what she wants to do.

This scene wouldn't be complete without the appearance of Lucy in her alien form. I plan to do one more montage page with Lucy as such, and then I can finally get to the ending of the scene.

And yes, I'm late to upload again, but luckily this page shouldn't take too much to line and color compared to the previous. But, for now I sleep then I'll be able to get to that with what little time I have tomorrow.

Sultry Summer 381 Sketch​

Here is the sketch for page 381 of Sultry Summer. Ben remembers a previous experience as Gwen gets herself another fangirl.

Took me a while to decide exactly which way to do this page but I finally decided and worked it out. I should be able to have this scene wrapped up in the next page or two, so after next week it should be time to move back to Chain Reaction. However, much like when I went back to Sultry Summer for this scene, I might spend a week doing single Power Pack illustrations just to get used to the style again before going back to comic pages. We'll see what I decide, but either way it will be Power Pack time again.

I'll line and color this page as soon as I can, but first I'm going to color page 380 for tomorrow then get back to this.

Here are the lines for page 381 of Sultry Summer. As usual I wasn't online Saturday to post this, but I went to bed on Friday with just a few finishing touches left to do. Now I color real quick.

Finally all caught up and should be able to wrap up this scene next week. Not much else to say as of now that hasn't been said previously.

Sultry Summer 382 Sketch​

Here is the sketch for page 382 of Sultry Summer. The group is all dressed up and ready to return to the wedding, but Ben and Gwen are hit with a bit of reality before they head out.

With this the current scene is complete. The ending is more to be relevant with the next upcoming scene and the epilogue, so not much to say on it as of now. This week also happens to fall in line with monthly responsibilities elsewhere, so this will only be this page here this week, which works out well timewise.

Now I line this. Next week will either be starting back up Chain Reaction right away, or I will be doing a week of Power Pack sketches to get myself back into the style. We'll see exactly how I feel when the time comes.

Sultry Summer 382 Lines​

Here are the lines for page 383 of Sultry Summer. Took an eternity to line this one but finally done. I didn't do the blacks for the caution tape because just like with floor tiles I figured it will be easier to do in colors once I have layer order with flats so that I don't have to erase as much. Now I do other monthly stuff this week and have the colors for this up Friday.

Here are the colors for page 382 of Sultry Summer. The trio is all dressed up and ready to return to the wedding, but Ben and Gwen are hit with a bit of reality before they head out.

With this the current scene of Sultry Summer is complete and it is time to move back to Chain Reaction for a bit. I'm still not 100% certain if I will move straight to Chain Reaction next week, or if I will take a week to do some Power Pack illustrations to get back in practice with the style. I'm leaning more towards wanting to start straight into the comic, but we'll see how I feel when the time comes.
