Also, is there a way to remove the Post Message.txt file that downloads along with the images when you click the Download option for any specific post?
Ah, that would probably be a result of a comment I made.
I tend to not always extract an archive I've downloaded here. It has happened that the archive name and the filenames inside, didn't gave a clue to whichever post I downloaded it from. Hence I had no idea who's work or which comic it belonged to.
Having that text file, with the embeded postlink, has saved me countless head-aches already.
So please leave it in...
Back to the topic at hand. Posted the below
in ST-9pol's thread before I found this one...
copy-pasting it here too for ease of keeping the discussion in it's proper place (
I'll gladly remove the other one to keep things OT if desired)

EDIT: IN fact, I'll link it to this one.

OK, thanks...
Is anyone else experiencing this please?
I only had this happen once,
the post I mentioned this in...
the one
@jennypclicker_8675309 (the darker one from here) I didn't have an issue with either... shows as left, lighter one here.
Just checked the latest pages since then (I just mostly download a couple first before continueing reading), and none had issues.
Could it be connected to the way folks download that sometimes it glitches?
Like I can imagine that if the forum software is written with downloading post attachments as a consolidated archive, I can imagine the developers
foresaw the need for some kind of archive caching. So could be that images are already stored as an archive and just need to be retrieved to show in a post.
Meaning, that runtime extraction could perhaps sometimes have a hick-up depending on serverload? Translating to something weird happening to an image?
Like I used to click the image to open the reader and right-clicked on the large image choosing "Save Image As".
That's also when I got that mangled #65, but when I checked again I erroneously thought you already replaced it, only to find out you didn't.
After that, I happened for some reason or another (probably laziness) to switch to just right-click on the thumbnail and choose "Save Link As".
Also, I am aware that in the past, other weird things happened here, so I ain't all too surprised that some folks are experiencing download anomalies.
So far it has still been fluke occurences, otherwise folks would ha'd clamored more loudly sooner.
Thank you. Any help is appreciated. I've been testing from various devices and locations but can't seem to replicate it. All images display correctly for me.
Displaying has never been an issue I think. Just during the download it sometimes seems to glitch for some.
Has done so far only once for me... method of downloading might play a role, although personally I think that's a very far fetch, and the one time just be that, an unfortunate hick-up. Computers glitch some times... bits get flipped, packets get lost on the internet highway.
