Thanks, but I'm curious. Why is A Barn Dance and anthology? Those stories don't seem related to me. That is, same characters, same setting, etc. Unless I'm missing something.

great author, up there with everyonesavoyeur and bobfr for me. I've not read all of their stories but everyone I've considered "great" or higher. "Setting Up My Wife" is classic massage voyeurism setup.

OK, fair enough. I didn't pay close attention to the length of any of the stories.

Generally speaking, I prefer stories in the 10 -20K word length.

As far as "great authors" are concerned, I'd include ikeman48, Stormbringer, (this is his blog link, he posts at a lot of different locations but AFAIK, this is the only place that has all of his stuff), and finally, but not least, RLM.

Unfortunately, Darkwanderer has recently implemented some filtering software which replaces certain words with ***. Comparing what's now blocked to stories I previously downloaded two words that are blocked are "rape" and "family".

I've made covers for books downloaded from the usual sites (literotica, darkwanderer, storiesonline, etc.) as well as made my own for books one could get at Amazon, Smashwords, etc.

For the latter, I try to match the "style" and fonts used of the original as best I can.

I use Microsoft Publisher, simply because I've been using MS Office for 35+ years at work and am very familiar with it.

My covers are certainly NSFW, and here are a few examples.

I use Affinity Designer by Serif. It's a cheaper commercial vector design program (try the free trial and look for it on sale, like it is now). It is similar to Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator but probably not as full-featured... but it's a lot cheaper. There's a great free program called InkScape that you can use too. It has more of a hobbiest feel to it so not as easy to work with.

advantage of vector design is sharper edges working with text, can draw and tweak shapes, even fonts if you convert the fonts to shapes (paths). you can also add raster images (photos), non-destructive filters and effects, etc.

I use calibre and the plug in „generate cover“. I have a huge collection of nsfw pics and I use them to make matching covers.

My company offered a deal to get Office for home for $5 USD. I got the Professional Plus 2016 version which is one of the last versions they made before switching to the subscription model.

I paid the extra $20 to get it on a USB stick, so I've been able to install it on any new PC ever since.

If I need to try to match a font used on an existing cover, I go to 1001 free fonts and get the font I need.

Between that and the Word Art feature in Publisher, I can match pretty well.

Office is pretty limited for graphic design compared to graphic design software and photo software. you can still make good looking art, just a lot harder and/or limited to what you can accomplish.

WhatTheFont is a handy tool for finding similar fonts using a visual search. Identifont is ok if you want to answer a million questions but it also has a way to find similar fonts based on someone identifying similar fonts to the most popular font families.

Then use those search results to comb google for free versions. google's free fonts are alright too. flipping through pages of fonts kills a lot of time though.
