Dont bother. The fight is lost. Eventually all the money will end up in the purses of Zuckerbergs, Bezos and Sony. Turning the internet into a Slobfest.
Im happy i had the chance to take a glimpse at a free world. Positivity is a mighty weapon.
Maybe. According to lawyers and bankers and bean counters, money is the only currency that exists that's important. But there's said to be like 9 different currencies, including social currency, physical assets, crypto currency, etc.
But all the big companies, have bad PR attached to them. Facebook/Meta like other places have likely more bots than real users, people are deciding they want to touch grass more, and the Metaverse VR push is utterly useless. Amazon is selling more counterfeit 'sponsored' items that they are starting to be seen as unreliable, and Sony... heh... Sony Microsoft Nintendo, them all have went the woke DRM route and raising prices on stuff that the common person can't afford it. Microsoft specifically pushing their AI models no one wants, which is also dipped heavily in
OpenClosedAI burning billions and billions.
It's also suggested a parallel internet may be made, one not relying on Google. Makes me wonder if we might go back to BBSes for a while. Ahhh those were fun. No one 'knew' of their existence at first, then people started hooking in and dialing up to do email and download/upload. They were just phone numbers, today likely IP addresses. A different search engine and a different DNS and poof, you can make things from scratch, though it will take a few years.
At this moment, i really do wish to see Disney, Microsoft, Apple, and all the big corporations crash and burn and new ones to take their place. They have all proven corporations aren't your friends, they will harvest your data, sell it, shove ads in your face, and then let you '
subscribed' to their service in perpetuity. They want you to own nothing and be happy and... Quite a few people are not liking it. Especially Microsoft losing more and more people to GNU/Linux, an empire built by gates over his lifetime being squandered in a few short years. Which is a lot of what we're seeing, people put in charge with no experience, no interest and no investment into the thing they are told to handle, and then mishandling it to bankruptcy. One Millionaire was asked how he went bankrupt, he said '
slowly at first, and then quickly'. Once you lose the trust of your customers, they burn money faster trying to get back the very thing they lost. Cracker Barrel and Bud Light are easy examples, throwing customers away and trying for a different crowd, only to see their value drop dramatically; though with video games a number of gaming companies like Bungie/Sony going for the 'modern audience' a group of maybe 50,000 people in my estimates vs their millions of 'straight white males' who they had before. An audience of bots who say 'i want to see X in your game' and when they put it, drive their core audience away and then the ones calling for changes '
weren't interested in the first place' and don't buy/consume such product.
I suppose the question. Can they drop all the BS they started doing and pivot back to profitability? Or do they continue to think they can push the agenda. That every straight white male is a bad guy, every male swapped with a black queer female whom are always superior to their male counterparts, reboot and 'modernize' every franchise in existence, every game and project costing hundreds of millions of dollars because they hired according to DEI, Pride flags everywhere, everything is an always online FPS looter shooter with expensive skins, you can't buy software games or your OS and have to rent it instead, and you have to 'prove' who you are thereby giving your personal information for them to harvest and sell as we can see from multiple leaks/hacks they don't deleting said 'verification' at all.
We'll just have to see. Sorry if this became something of a rant.
