As stated, he doesn't like it, didn't "approve" it but is allowing it with caveats.
I'm striving to stay off his "I'm disappointed" radar.
Now as to the philosophy of pirate sites. I completely understand the release of material just as fast as the author posts it. You only need one sub doing this to satisfy the leaches, destroying anything resembling income. But a reasonable pirate posting builds a fan base. Now whether a fan base eventually generates a sufficiently lucrative hobby to support the author's desires is the ultimate question. I do believe that if no one sees your work you're not going to get a fan base. Chicken/egg kinda relationship.
