[M. Fox-Myer] Hotwife, Cuckold, Swinging

Yeah, I just looked at the books posted in the Op vs what I had in my calibre library. Once I downloaded the books and updated the metadata in calibre I realized it was in one of the collections.
How do you download the metadata for Amzn books on calibre?
Most of the time i get an "Error: download failed". Even if i shorten the title.
How do you configure it?

Here are screenshots for my calibre setup.

However, i have noticed lately that even though a book is on Amazon, most of the time, it doesn't put the link in the IDs section.

Sometimes, I'll go to the Goodreads link and find the ASIN code and put it in manually. I also have to do that with Smashword books, since it never seems to find them, even though I've got it enabled

Since you've ramped up on calibre...
I accidentally created a custom metadata category trying to put comments in the normal display - and can't seen to delete it. Any ideas?

Not sure I understand what you did.

Is it a new item on the left side where you can sort on metadata entries?

I made a mid-effort attempt and didn't find it. Tried wayback but can't get search to work. Straight up search found a couple of things but not the later chapters that I'd be interested in.

it is not unfortunately, it is its own category
OK, not sure if this will work, but it's worth a shot.

click on configure at the bottom left of the calibre window and choose "manage author tags..." then "User cataegories"

You'll see a window like this.

I'm hoping you'll see your metadata search item in the right side window.

If you highlight it an then click the red - sign, it should be removed.

No joy! It's not there to delete. Thanks anyway.

I don't recommend trying this at home. It is only mildly annoying, and only because it slightly changed my GUI (just enough to be noticeable for a few weeks/months) It doesn't seem to effect anything else.
I've got two epub's I'm going to load later to Mag Inc from Lynn Brown - we'll see if it's even a gnat on the windshield to anyone else's view.
I doubt it will be.
Thanks again for looking, - I'm just techie enough to still be willing to try new stuff, but not to delve down into their inner workings anymore.

Skimming for reviews of the books on amazon and it seems you picked the one with complaints of humiliation. I haven't read any. I'm burnt out on cuckolding stories with disrespect and will steer clear of that series. I'll see if any of them are more stag/vixen, hotwife or voyeurism fantasy. She's Just Too Good and Wives on Camera look like they may be my speed.
I agree completely! I do not like stories with husband humiliation, chastity cages, excluding the husband, etc. I avoid such stories or stop reading them when I figure out which way a story is going. The best stories are the ones with supportive husbands who enjoy watching their wives with other men, and include the husband as well. Interracial and bareback are my favorites. Condom use in stories is such a downer--after all, they are stories.

Having manually edited and worked with Calibre, you can get away with adding tags manually in a text editor (for epubs), so long as you know what they will be.

Within the opf file (maybe metadata.opd, maybe content.opf, it changes) You can add tags.
The first block of <metadata> will have the author, creation date, UUID, etc. But you can also add in a subject, which is the genres or kinks of interest.

Though having a tool handle all the details, and a selection list is nice too.

A few I think aren't in this thread, a couple are newer than anything here I think. Some are compilations where some shorts are posted here but not all of them?
