I was just looking at the Back Issues section of MCC and realized something. There are several issues of comics that either aren’t on here or on 8muses that are available for purchase, which MCC does after an issue has been out for 18 months. I’m kind of shocked that someone hasn’t gotten fed up, bought the issues, and just pasted them online lol…

Do you have a list?

That way if someone has a few bucks they don't need to do homework first, they can just buy an issue off the list (with a throwaway email address).

MCC uses some pretty sophisticated watermarks, which is why so much work needs to go into removing them. The images have subtle identifying information embedded, so if they end up in circulation MCC knows who leaked them.
Do you know where to get the techniques to circumvent them?

This was shared ages ago on 8Muses. It used to work for me for MCC but haven't used it in a while. Use at your own risk as it's been highlighted numerous times on this thread about a watermark getting you banned on their site. I'm sure you can toss this into chatgpt or claude and get improvements for it.

chatgbt's response to me:
"This watermark cannot be erased, but it can be cleverly concealed."

Dude, I already improved the script and ran it afterwards, but it didn't work.
That’s a bummer. Surely though the rules are different for the Issues that are in the Back Issues section right? Like is Daphne really going to kick out your account if like By the Book 2 #13 and 14 with the specific watermarks you get show up on 8muses? I understand people leaking stuff that’s a week or so old but issues that are, at a minimum, 18 months old already? That seems… excessive…

There was nothing I could do; I had the AI edit the code and run it again, but the watermarks in the image weren't gone. Then I started researching, but I couldn't remove the watermark from the image because it used the same color palette as the image.

The only real way to spread it around then is to message the files to people, but that carries its own risks and I don’t blame anyone for not doing that…

What about creating a script that only removes everything from the picture that isn't a watermark? Then turn the watermark-only picture into solid white. Paste it on top of the original picture so you have a picture with white text written over it. Then have the AI generate the fill in the white spaces. Maybe someone tried it but that is how I would do it manually.
To make it simpler I would probably also first convert it into a gif-picture with a custom color palett of only 256 colors (or less) to reduce the risk that the fill have subtle edges that could make it possible to recreate the original watermarks from them.
If the original is a compressed jpg-picture I would probably also first try some filter that transform it into some non compressed format and removes the compression artefacts as much as possible. Compression artefacts are the worst thing ever when editing pictures.

Guys,

As you know, I am in contact with Chikan72, and he has started on converting his scripts to Python.

I am humbled by all the features he has already implemented, but he says he has a long way to go before he is finished.

He has asked me to test his tools and honestly, they are amazing. His Tufos tool is VERY impressive, and that is what I now use instead of my own scripts.

The MCC tool is simple, but it works. He gave me some old issues with watermarks for me to test and there are still a few bugs (mostly display bugs), but functionality seem to be perfect.

I have tried to subscribe to MCC, but they don't accept Prepaid Visa/MC anymore, and I am not willing to use my real CC, so I don't really know what to do :(

Here's a screenshot of his tool in action:

Well thats great news. I think DeadPoe and dr paradoks have issues maybe contact them to see if there willing to share an account. And if not them I think someone with an account should feel confident since chikan 72 released mcc issues multiple times over the years and hes still not in any trouble so he definitely knows what hes doing. I wonder if they closed the prepaid loophole bc he literally posted on this site thats how he did it.
The problem isn't sharing; they can identify the person who shared the content, suspend their account, and prevent them from posting content again. Worse still, they could sue you for copyright infringement.

DM me and I think we can figure somethig out

I could subscribe too, that's not the problem. They can find the person leaking the content through the watermarks and ban their account from their site.
That’s true. My question is if someone puts one of the Issues that MCC has on the Back Issues Page that they sell for 8$ online, would they still ban your account? 18 months minimum has passed and especially 2 years out they’ve probably gotten all the money they are going to get out of it anyway.

I mean, honestly I’m surprised some of the people on here don’t just say “fuck it” and burn an account every year or so to get the stuff online lol…

Do you get a new credit card every year? A new house? A new name?

You understand that the ban is also on your credit card. So how will you subscribe again if it's the same credit card? Ok you have a different credit card, but it is associated to your name and your home address.

What surprises me is that you think someone should say "fuck it" and burn an account but that person needs to be someone other than you.

As for the Bonus Issue thing, Daphne runs an actual business and she spends a shitload on artists so there is no way she'd be like, "meh. it's been out a while. it's fine". Some guys on SubscribeStar may have that attitude but not many, if any, businesses share those traits.

I am sure if you buy an old issue and post it without removing the watermarks, same thing would happen as if it were just released yesterday.
